    Goblet of Fire (teaser trailer)

    http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/har...egobletoffire/

    Theres the trailer!
We can now wait pulling our hairs out for 7 months.
Personally I cant wait til concept art is shown for the Hungarian Horntail and the Mermaids. They look so cool! But thats probably a year from now
I wonder which concept artists worked on this one.

    well whoa.
    who's directing it this time?
    Sketchbook

    Sketchbooks of inspiration:
    Marc Taro|Maxetormer|ZhuZhu|Jeri|Dobu]

    Always think about:
    lighting! design! perspective! proportion!
    And (self)motivation is still everything.

I thought a concept artist on this one was Wayne Barlowe. His site was recently posted in the lounge - I checked out the credits, apparently, he worked on Prisoner of Azkaban as well.

The trailer is ok - the only thing it really shows is the horntail part. For the rest, it's mostly close-ups of faces. You can see a couple of monumental scenes, but not much.

I hate it when they fill trailers with old footage or filler. This movie looks like it's directed quite energetically, which is good. I'm looking forward to it.

    I share that worry..

The CG of the hippogryff in the last movie was great, though.

Course its gonna be action filled! its the flippin Goblet of fire! The most action filled book, besides that Department of Mysteries part of Order of the Phoenix. I like the design of the mermaid though, but I hope thats not how its gonna look on bigscreen (cg wise). For once mermaids dont look pretty or siren like.

Beauxbatons girls seem to have that old 50s 60s? look i dunno, but a bit older style of clothing, and quite snobbish i might add.
The Durmstrang boys seem a bit like highschool jocks hehe.
Im looking forward to this one!

It sucks so much ass that the good actor who portrayed Dumbledore had to bite it. Ah well, this should be good, since the kids can act. Concept for the horntail is a bit lackluster, though, imho.

I was expecting a different Horntail. Its pretty neat i guess, those double flame throwers in its mouth makes me like it a lot, theyre so awesome! But i thought it'd look different, not as similar as most dragons would look. More fierce and rough skinned, but its still cool...those double flames..

I'm interested to see how they design Professor Moody.
Same here! Brendan Gleeson wasnt how I imagined Moody, so im quite curious.

thanks for the info and trailer Dished

I agree the mermaid was...well...it spoke for itself...I think the design of it was what bothered me the most I wanted something a lot more independent of a traditional mermaid feel. If they where going to go into that fish mermaid genre I think they could have pushed the design. But it is still a trailer…so have to loosen the judgment since it's early on and such.

    the poster----> http://www.hpana.com/imageviewer.cfm...=gofposter.jpg

I really dig how they chose a simple silhouette for the poster nothing crazy no photomontage cheesiness. But honestly the text really bothers me...the text on the back of his jacket and the text used to promote the film are given so much emphasis. That they should work off one another more so than they do now...right now it feels like they are fighting for you’re attention ( the yellow text vs. the red "potter" text) There are three different forms of text for one photo....and his little……wand...yeah

I really dig the first poster, the rendering and mood fits so nicely...oooh Drew Strutzan thank you so very much.
I wonder if they ran out of budget or if Strutzan was to bussy..o if marketing killed it..

I read outcries about the mermaids but what bothers you about them ? (thanks to staceydiana who actually explained). I'm curious.
Personally, I still need to read the book.
About that poster : Very... Batman Begins no ?
