this lady archer is so sweet !!!
marvelous job on this one , i love your creature too. colors are great
it's very inspiring
thanks for sharing theses fine pieces
i'm waiting for more
Ah thats pretty awesome. The one that that kind of bother me though is the top of here head. Something about the hair there just doesnt sit right.
Very nice work Lots of detail too. Shouldn't the bow be a little more focused, since it's on the foreground? But really, it's a great piece!
Just a quick doodle before work this morning.
I'm heading up (across?) to Victoria, B.C. for a few days, so I'll see about responding to everyone while I'm there. Hope all is well with yer bad selves, and thanks for the comments.
NICE SHIT DUDE !!!

No clue. Had a rough day at work. Originaly thought of doing something for the CHOW, but donno.
Nice bunch of work you have produce lately, Shane. I love the archer. Keep posting the good stuff.
Thanks for the comments guys. Lot's of good stuff happening right now.
Here's some concept art that I did for Space Empires V a couple of years ago that you might enjoy.
(You can view the full sized "Eee" concept here (It's big): Eee
One I did today. It's interesting looking at stuff I did two years ago (above) compared to current work.
great work! I like the rogue warrior, also if... the face expression is more interesting in the pencil sketch then in the color version! keep posting!

Thanks Anjin. I still have a little ways to go on him
Looking good, You're being productive in terms of output as well.
but to be snotty I have to ask. How does your rogue warrior walk with a sword strapped between his legs like that?
edit to add: thats funny, I was posting here while you were looking in my SB. Thanks for stopping by.
Um... It's a fashion excessory. Yeah. That sounds goodOriginally Posted by Craig D

This last image definitly shows your unique style. I can pick out a picture done by you no problem at all. Where as a lot of other artists, even some of the greats here on CA, have work that are very similar to one anothers, your work is always unique.
Figured I'd just tell you.
Thanks!! ...I hope that's a good thing...Originally Posted by HugeHarHar

NEXT sketch: Mage & Scout
Saa, thanks. I think that if you check my post in the finally finished section you'll see that I addressed that
Anyway, here's some paints thrown on the latest sketch. I sliced my thumb yesterday while at work, and the bandaid sits right where my pencil/stylus rests on my thumb. It keeps slipping. Very hard to paint that way. Or type for that matter.
Okay, in the middle of the night I woke up and realized that I had gotten off on the entirely *wrong* foot with the character. So, scrathed what I had and redid it. Let me know what you think.
Lookin' good Shane! Leggings look hella better on the new version! The face bothers me a bit though... somehow I read it as a bit flat. Not entirely sure... But I'm supposing you're not finished with it? Could use a bit more colorvariation in the face... I think. I'm kinda apprehensive about giving you crits, though... hehe.. don't feel I'm quite up to it I like the face in the original sketch better...
crazy3dman Thanks bro.
dCepT Well, damn. Now that you mention it, it *does* look flat. Dammit. Now I'm totally depressed. This and the warrior were for a submission, and it's too late to fix them because they've been sent off. Someone just shoot me in the head and be done with it...
anyway, now that I'm done being apocolyptic, here's some stuff I'm goofing off with.
I don't normally do a full grayscale rendering before painting. Typically I work directly from the scanned sketch, as with the last two that I did, but I wanted to mix things up a little bit. And, true to character, I start playing and this whole thing ends up developing and pretty soon I've got more than I bargained for. Let's see where this goes.
Looking good, bro. It looks like you're deviating from the values you laid down in the grey scale, which is actually a good thing, since I think there was a little too much "middle value" in the greay scale.
One compositional suggestion-- you may want to change some of those "radial" lines in the rockface to the left to more horizontal. Right now everything in the piece leads the eye to the orc's raised forearm, which isn't the most interesting part of the piece (the faces likely will be, since that's the viewer's natural inclination anyway). You also may want to bump the orc a little to the left to reduce the tangent that forearm has with the sillouhette of the rock-face.
The detail shot on the face is simply sick. I can't wait to see how this piece turns out.
