    Elf of the Summer

    Good day, everyone.
It has been a long time. Really miss here.
All kinds of school works really killed me. Well, thank God, I have survived
Finally, taking this short holiday, I got something done.

Here is one of my new works.
I will be glad to hear any reply from you ^^~

    Elf of the Summer

Oh~ this one is the complete view of it.

I love it! but u know what it could use? Warmer colors! given the fact that it's called "Elf of Summer", i think more yellow, orange or even silver lighting on the trees wouldn't hurt. that way the picture will express more warmth.
Anyway, i like the magic powder u made around the fairy(?), and the elf looks great, the legs, arms & clothes look very soft and silky! Great job!!!

Bee-yoo-tiful. But... no cast shadows? And lighting on the girl looks pretty even in contrast to where the background suggests the light is coming from. And the little tinkerbell thing looks pretty bright, but doesn't seem to throw much light onto anything around her. Hmm... it looks pretty good as is, I can only imagine how good it could look with better lighting.

I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more.

very very nice, i just don't like the type on the right of the first one, that saturated green of the letters really takes away from the focal point in the painting

the second version is great, no crits here

I love the character but the background and the tree she's sitting on definitely need more details.

I think its exelent piece. Rendering is great, and colors too. But her right leg seems that isnot connected to hip.

Mmmm~ more details on trees? Ok, next time, I will pay more attention on the background...
and the light / shadow, too.

About the colors used, ohhhh... I think I really put too much green... maybe a little more "other colors" should help...

About the legs... I think the legs are joined to the hip for sure
but, I think the problem is on the section of cloth around her right leg end.
Too flat and straight, I guess. If I make it more "curved"... It should look more naturally.

Thanks to you all, I really appreciate it.

The tree feels a bit funny up under her. The face looks a bit overworked too. I like how it came out, but it was treated independantly for so long is kinda visually disjoins from the body. Maybe you worked all the green out of it.

now that u've mentioned it, pvrhye, i have too agree: the face, well, doesn't seem elvish...i think the nose is the problem...try making it more feminin, right now it's too emphasised
oh, and the head should be a little bit (but just a little bit!) bigger
