    paintchats?

Hey, all. I used to spend a lot of time on a paintchat(run by iimnyscrts) a few years back but that site has since dried up and blown away. I recently got a hankerin' to do it again. So, I was wondering where any of you go to paintchat(if you do at all) and if you'd be willing to share the address with me so I can get back into it.

    Thanks!

It's not hard to set up your own, if you have cable internet or DSL.

I run my own off my laptop, and it can take up to a dozen people before my service lags.

Not sure where I got the program from, but I know there's some group that has an english translation for download.

Have you tried open canvas? you can network with up to four people and save event files. It is better than paintchat IMO. It is a free program too. Check out the oc thread if you havn't allready. You can download the program here. PM me if you want to know more.

Really...? I was actually really interested in suchlike, but the general concensus was that the bandwidth it'd require would be unworldly - niet? Right now, I have like 50g/month, which is way more than I'll probably ever need.

I usually do oC network with a friend, and he host the sesson on his 56k connection, and the networking is still fine. I've also oC with a friend who host it on a 28k Modem before, and had 3 people network the same time, there was no lag or anything major, although it tends to give glitches, like one of the users may not be able to see the drawing of other users unless they re-login a few times.

Since I don't run mine 24/7, I don't really have a issue with it. I up my in the evenings, and let friends pop in. Over all, 50g should hold up well.

Interesting. OC's great, but something open to the public, that I could link to right off my page would be superhot - even if it was on a weird schedule. What's the program called that you use, skulldog?

    Thanks, all.

orcatraz: Thanks for the info. I might PM you later.

jmascho: Hey, man, how are you doing? It has been quite a while. drawsomething.com had quite a roster of people there for a while. It's a real shame it went down. So, what are you up to now?
