I'm a big LOTR fan so it doesn't take much to please me. Your work, however, is very good. The layout is great. I'd love to see you do some action paintings of the "actual" battle.

Dashing composition and lighting. Totally captured Jackson's cinematic landscape of darkness and tension. The brush storkes and use of color is amazingly beautiful. Although the mist in the background kinda lost the well organized and stylized brush strokes u hav in the foreground. I love the area around Aragorn's face... it blends in so perfectly and he looks stunningly powerful. Hmm, how come the soliders around them are all elves? I'd like to see some Rohan knights as well : )

Could you explain a little bit on how you work? Like what kinda brush in painter and photoshop do you use; How do you get those kinda of brush strokes; How do you blend in everything so perfectly etc etc. I can never ask enough. Do you have a web page?

I just noticed that the first post of the painting is different than the second signed one. The second Legolas has no bow so it looks like he massaging his arrow. Not bashing. I love the painting! Just letting you know just in case it didn't catch your eye. Hope to see more from you.

I really like what you have done here. It is looking sharp.

My only crit has nothing to do with the style you have used.. but rather the concept for the piece. Why are there only elves? It seems to me that all of the troops behind the main characters are elves and I would have probably liked humans in there.

Maybe I am more sensative to this because I didn't really like the fact that PJ changed the story and had elves come into Helms Deep. It is forgivable.. and it's still a great movie.. and a great picture, but I would probably have put men back there.. because it was a battle to save mankind.

Of course, this is just the goof ball in me speaking. This really is nice but that is what I thought when I saw it.

I really dig this pic, nice composition and colors. I watched the extended dvd feature on the WETA workshop and gimli's axe and all the armor on your pic look just like the real thing.

Well everyone seems to have picked up on the fact that it is really good.
What noone seems to have picked up on is Aragorns face. I found that it looked a bit chubby. I think it's the neck and his left cheek.
I hope you don't mind me messing around with your pic but I was thinking something like this:
