Steampunk Space Kittens 4-way ThunderDome : Final Entries!
This was a thunderdome between Craig Houghton, Thebluepuppy, JAGrello, and Myself. The due date was last night, and Puppy and Craig were the only one to actually have theirs in on time. Ionic (Grello) and I posted ours sometime this morning. As this was the first thunderdome of it's type (in which we were involved) and seeing as how I made the thread in the first place, I figured our entries should be seen anyway. They were only a few hours late.
You can find the challenge thread here. Long story short, we figured what with us all being relatively close in age, we wanted to start the process of shaking our newbie labels, as we approach college.
Anyway, without any further rambling, here they are, in order of entry:

oop, no contest here, though to be fair, i like the color of the second one and the speed paint style of the third one. I'm afraid I don't quite understand the first one.

Good competition guys. Anyone up for another one? This was pretty fun.
Craig, I like your concept the best, I have to say, although the post apocalyptic stuff always tickles my fancy, Chad.
Also, ionic, I would have loved to see you finish up your first one. It looks really promising still.
I posted mine on some other forums, and it got kinda ripped apart, so I know what to change in the future.
Anyway, lemme know if anyone's interested in another one. We should try to get some more people in on it as well.

Craig - I understand nothing.
thebluepuppy - My vote. Nice colours, but head is streched, also the bear
JAGrello - I have seen that short time ago.
Paul - nice technique, but It didnt touch me.

PAUL, whenever I copy and paste, or import, a shape from Illustrator into Photoshop, the shapes get cropped. It looks like you ran into the same problem with your big circle. You can do a cheap workaround if you make smaller shapes at the borders or outside your main shape, then these can be easily erased after the whole thing is rasterized.
Just an idea so you don't get that flatness at the top of the circle.
