Some charcoal studies of armour referenced from the internet.
Ive just started dabbling in charcoal and find the medium tricky, but fun.
And some more sketchbook pages. a frazetta study, plus some cool shit.
Kaffinated: Thanks dude, per week? depends on the week I suppose. I'd say on average id do about 15 - 20 pages. Sometimes more, sometimes less. No problem man.
SanXavier, zweiDee: thanks guys.

Noses. Hah, I love how different people's noses are.
As for getting in at pixar or disney have you tired emailing and asking them? Or looking through their FAQ? They might have some tips there, been awhile since I looked and depends on the position you want of course . . .

"I just cant compete with the people that update like 12 times a day and then get pages and pages of ass pats."
something thats bothering me too lately. you have to scroll like, 2/3 pages for any art to find haha. I'm doing it for myself, i guess.
I really, really like your sketches, i love the comic vibe. looks like the sketches are getting better lately. I'm watching this thread. 5*

damn you ramped it up in the last eight months, really great progress, dunno what you did but it seems to have worked.
the superman is great, love the pov and the colouring style has a real nice vintage feel.

Some Recent gestures from life drawing.
and some hands and feet while hanging out in the woods with some friends.
Blythe: Thank you, a good nose is key to a funny face. Well I tried for an apprenticeship this year but alas no dice. They generally keep everything hush hush, and give you the most generic responses ever. Ill just have to keep at it.
Frank: Yeah, Its hard to get any screentime here, hard to get some good honest critiques. I've come to terms with that, and like you, I'm just doing it to push myself to draw more again. Thanks man, I've been trying to take things into a new direction. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Still don't have the formula down. Dont know if I ever want to though.
Young Paddy1: Hahahaha, thanks man, I'm not sure its worked yet, still struggling to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life. Glad you like the superman piece, I want to do a few more along those lines, but with characters of my own creation now.

This is a really great well-rounded sketchbook- very lively stuff that has a lot of personality and smoothly executed. I'd like to see more environments... vehicles.. you've covered that ground already but it never hurts to work on something outside your mainstays... Wish I could give you some useful feedback, you're clearly heading in the right direction at a good speed, maybe the next piece you're looking to take to finish/full illustration I can give some more concrete input on.

wow these pictures are breathtaking, you're originally a chef? good stuff. Two good talents combined in one. I like your style. Your sketches look simple and clean yet your use of a large amount of detail is magnificent and on point. Were the sketches of models or photos? haha Great job looking foward to seeing mroe stuff
