Looking good. There's a lot of white space on your pages, fill them up.. draw bigger or draw more-- make use of the whole paper. Also, with your cloth studies, draw more of the cloth instead of a little piece, for example.. draw an entire shirt. The setup matters too, even draw the background, it's all part of the practice.
razuel : thanks for the crit and the comments. yeah i will remember that til next update, just started out with the studies.
and here comes todays update:
a quick hand, i did play with contrast.
and here are some diffrent studies, quick ones
tried a face and some eyes.
a girl, aint happy with this one.
anatomi study. turned out quite good

Very good muscle studies. The latest hands were good too, ´tho I think u should mark the bone structure more to get a better feel of tha hand, and besides, it's good practise. Try study the feet also. U got a book about the human anatomy, btw? If not; get one, read and make your own nots and studies, etc..
Doing great, keep it up!

Tigermilk: thank you, i will study feet till next time. your crit is very helpful.
Pencilator: ok the bicep was odd anyway thank you
and here are some new ones. c & c are wellcome
a portrait of my girlfirend. speedpaint
a portrait of a fella in school
thats all for this time, cya
my critique would be:
1. keep doing anatomy studies
2. dont draw yourself tired of doing studies, mix em into imaginery pieces...like, draw an orc but you do a muscle study while you do it, in that way you're practising imagination and drawing accurate muscles.
3. break it down more (values) try to draw all the different values there is... the world isnt black and white... (oooh, poetic )
4. draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw draw!
and you're on your way man, killer stuff so far, last posts are the best... like the guy flexing his shoulder/back towards us.. got something there!
cheers man and keep on fighting!

MIKECORRIERO: thanks man, yeah i will do that, thanks for the help,
and by the way, love your stuff
Try to think of the figure as a whole, instead of concentrating on each part seperatly.
ok, i have not got a scanner for a long time
this is all ive managed to do, its not much.
hope to be more frequent in the near future.
ok here comes the stuff..
thats all fot this time
Rebecca: thanks for the advice.
really like those last ones with the dark shadows in them and the portraits are really good keep drawing and posting
It's really good that you're training your anatomy skills, keep at it, you have improved a whole bunch since your first post here.
As an advice: this bobybuilder guys look kinda nice, but try to draw some anatomystudies of 'normal' shaped people. Just avoid that all the people you draw will have this bodybuilder look. Keep at it man!
id like to add on to hurris comments to say try to understand more of the muscles if you can as in the way they work...it might help when you draw musclular people's photos, as you will know more about what youre drawing.
i would also suggest especially wen drawing hands to draw them as cylinders and blocks, breaking it down into simple 3D shapes helps so much and it will give them a more 3D feel.
I like the last portraits, really dramatic. They show a good consideration of value like hurricane advised. And I especially like your portraits in movement, like the drinking one.
Cool to here your moving to the UK, i'm sure you'll like it here. I'm sure there will be plenty of transport (in answer to your question in the UK thread) and i'll keep you informed with Artsy stuff going on.
hey man, stick with it! Maybe spend just as much time drawing from artists' anatomy books as you are fitness magazines (or maybe you are already). Also, you'll save a little money if you just cram everything you possibly can onto sketchbook pages....actually its not even about money, its just about learning to utilize the space given to you to the fullest. See how much stuff you can fit on there until you just have NO more space at all!
peace out homie!
poratrait work is good -- love the progression so far, i agree with rebecca try to think of it as a whole figure-- keep trukin ' ((toot toot))
nothing is good - nothing is bad -- osho
(all is well)
Omni 1's scribbles/doodles >>HERE NOW<<

McLean: ok i will try that thanks alot
im here with a mini update. i am currently visiting my old school,. and tehy do have a scanner so i drew 2 pages and scanned em
might draw some more for tonight
well well here they are. crits ans comments are most welcome
a series of heads
some other quick stuff
thants all for now., cya soon
the heads are looking good. you got some proportional issues on the 2nd page, so just keep practicing the anatomy, take your time on a couple studies really nailing down the proportions and shapes, then you can speed up your studies when u become more familiar with the subject
good luck with school
Good stuff man, really like that heads.
Try to work on your values. And keep up with anatomy.
Good luck and keep posting.
