Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
After a long time off, about 10 years, I'm dragging my butt to a weekly life drawing class. I draw digitally on a tablet everyday so it's nice to hold a piece of charcoal again. Unfortunately, there's no "undo command".
These look great
keep it up
they nice, but oyu ever get hot gurls in a life drawing class?
Well done my boy.
I like the quickies at the top best.
Thanks MGH, yeah the gestures stay nice and loose and don't have to show any detail, it's those longer poses that get ugly, too much time to get things overworked and stale. Hopefully I'll see some improvement down the road. It's fun to get back to it again though. Knock on Dan's door and get him to post some of his stuff. His faces actually look like the person we're drawing. I'll post more in the future.
In college I tried to stay away from faces - which was hard when it was a half hour pose.
None of the guys ever drew penises either.
These look good. One thing I suggest is that you don't make such harsh angles for the legs, arms, little things like that. Give them an organic line. For example, don't draw a straight line to describe the shoulder, but rather draw the transition from the deltoid, to the bicep to elbow, and finish it off at the arm. Know what I mean? They will make your line work look a lot better!
this guys stuff is great!
look at his linework to see what I mean.
keep these babies coming!
There is nothing wrong with using a photo to help you see things.
No one complains about life drawing,
so take a photo.
its easy, and will improve your piece greatly."
Hey, thanks a lot for the comments, I couldn't agree with you more. I think studying and understanding anatomy better will help.
That guys work (Khang Le) is fabulous, I definately see what you mean about his linework. His work is very inspirational, looking forward to my next class.
