    Psyconauts Demo is out.

    http://www.3dgamers.com/games/psychonauts/downloads/

The Psyconauts demo is out for the pc, where you can play the first mind-level. and experiment alittle in the actual campgrounds.

The game is from Double Fine Productions, which has the brilliant minds who brought you: Grim Fandango, Full throttle, Day of the Tentacle, and other amazingly classics.

i can't stress enough how much this game is worth checking out.

Awesome. Nobody makes adventure games anymore *sigh*
Day of the Tentacle is one of my all time faves. Thanks for the heads up.

The demo was very cool. Great character design, and the gameplay was shaping up to be quite fun. We need more original IP like this.

One thing that bugged me was the prerendered cinematics which looked significantly worse than the in-game graphics. They used all the in-game models, but it was at like a quarter of the resolution. I don't get that at all.

Yeah I have been following this game for a while because of it's beautiful art direction... I had no idea that it had such a fine pedigree of developers!

My friend Dan will explode if I tell him about those classic adventure game connections!

oh, cool. I'm adding that demo to my list of torrents to download.

full throttle and day of the tentacle are sooo great. grim fandango was fun, but I hate that 3d engine. it's awful. I mean, it looks ok, but don't even think about trying to control it.

they're only saying that so you'll be back tomorrow davi. in fact they haven't heard of it either...but when you're back tomorrow and you realize that they don't have it, they hope to sell you another game or two just because you want to have something to play.

Got the game yesterday (Xbox) --- put a good 2 hours into it so far.

Amazing game -- calling it a 'platformer' is really cutting it short, there's just so much damn personality.

It's great how the entire summer-camp island is open to you from the start, very explorative game and very non-linear ... it's even the icing on the cake that cut-scenes and stories trigger EVERYWHERE you go -- just insane how the adventure is caturing itself to my exploration.

WOW! This game is freakin' great!!

You know who I would hate to be right now?? --- anyone having to wait any more days for the PC version!! *BAZING*

The camp setting is just amazing -- it really feels like, instead of tutorials, that you're progressing through camp training.

But man, once the game starts to pick up (for me, when you finsish running from the Lungfish) it really gets damn creative.
One of those games I wish I was able to be a part of.

it's a true adventure game as well --- calling it a platformer, is like calling Metroid a 1st-person shooter.
