Well now. I'm an art student in high school and I have an issue. Generally in my sketchbooks I prefer to stay in black and white, not because I don't like color but generally because I just find it more convenient to do black and white stuff in there. But I'm thinking I should start adding color and I have a few ideas in my head that I wanna put down. I'm not terribly sure this is the place to post this, but here is the query. Does anyone have a suggestion for a color medium to use in a sketchbook? Normally I'd just experiment with what I got until I got a reasonable result, but at the moment I've got oils and oil pastels. I have a feeling oils aren't going to be a good idea for sketchbooks and I'm not terribly fond of pastels. So, I was curious as to what you all use and to see if anyone had any suggestions as to what to get. Any response is more than appreciated.

Thanks alot. Very helpful. Granted I feel retarded now for not looking for those before I posted but that's my own fault.
