Nice start. On the robot figure, it seems like there are some proportion problems. I'm assuming you trying to keep roughly with human proportion, and the thighs, even with foreshortening, seem short. Still, I'm not exactly a pro myself, and there's a lot of really cool ideas here also. Keep it up.

    Thanks

Thanks for the C&C. I noticed the problems with the anatomy after the fact, same witht he foreshortening. Which is why I am going to redo the pose again. The character itself is suppose to be about 9' tall. So I am trying to make it big and bulky, but not in an absurd way. Hopefully the thrid reendition will work.

    those are cool

i really like robos n mechs like that

yaya foreshortening is a fukin hard nut

i suggest doing smal and tons of studies.. saves lotsa time and u do 100 instead of one studie

do cubes and cylinders.. also rotate them .. this should gave u a basic head.. but..u can do that exercise until u know how to allign*orient cubes in 3D space "perfectly".. that means u know all shapes for each degree.. full 3D turn is 360 degree on 1 axis .. one shape for one degree...

i still draw cubes now and then to get more skills in orienting and alligning ma stuff in 3D space

    keep up !

    Found some more...

Found some more stuff from the mid 90's before I stopped working on art. Trying to get back to something along these lines...

try to think in values more, pretty much all of your drawings lack contrast, and many are too light. there are some heavy dark lines that look accidental, too. remember that line is value, too!

    keep it up!

    Thanks for the C&C

Thanks for the comments. The last three pictures were made in the mid 90's, so I believe my style has changed somewhat. As for the hard lines, the plan is to complete the images in color on computer... once I can get my hands on a tablet and some time. I might spend more time, doing more contrast in the pencils instead of waiting. Thank you all again.

    Gunship Formation

Just wanted to post something. Planning to ink and/or do this incomputer, which is why I left so much negative space.

that last ship is really 'retro star wars', why not make a sketch model out of card?? that'd be cool and would give you loads of ideas in the process.

Maybe 2007 will be better? Design WIP

I started this last week and I just wanted to post this to see what others thought. I am still working on the anatomy issues but considering some of my earlier efforts, this is better. Any C&C would be welcomed. Thank you...
