The billion page PS digi SB- old fashioned apology,, don't ground me, mom.
******Go to last page for more recent dumps******
Kind of half way through this one and trying to stay focused..
I tend to start getting more cartoony and elaborative right when I should be getting picky and precise, I have a lot of drawings on my hard drive that are right here at this phase.....I especially just get too much fun out of drawing people in the background to stop. I think it hurts the realism/believability, but they are just not fun to draw unless they are childishly drawn and highly simplified.......aaaaahhhhhhh wellllllllllll......
Other people must have this problem finishing,,,, share your problems and refferences, or any approaches or solutions you have discovered for similar hurdles in your own work,,,,,,,refferences and examples greatly appreciated,,
A detail from the second version

The latest in the batch of militant forest gnomes
This little guy is still in the tonal stages......tell me what you think,,,,I know he may look a little bit heavy to fly around,,, but so do most dragons, so I thought what the helll,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,here it is,,,
I really hope these last couple have not been too cartoony to be taken seriously,, they take the same amount of consideration for lighting and pose as one with a more realistic subject..

Woa. I'm glad I'm not focusing only on the stars-rated threads. This is the most amazing new sketchbook I've found this year so far! You have a new fanboy.
I love the delicate balance between sheer brutality and aerial confidence in your strokes.
BTW. What powerbook has you bought? Do you use an external monitor or it's ok with PB's?
April 11th, 2005 #25
skulldog: thank you
evil disco: I will keep it up
Yiako I got a G4, I have no external monitor, I have 1.6 ghz of speed .
I save all my work to a firewire external......I have an old intuos 2 that works just awesome.....my sketchbook is PS7 Painter8, Illustrator 10
You said some real nice stuff.......thanks for the inadvertent tip.....I was wondering what those stars were all about.....Maybe it was better when I just dug through all of the stuff in the forums, it is fun to find stuff and be all like wow,,,,,
I want to tell you the secret to the sheer brutality/aeria quality of the work.....very flattering and honorable thing to say, by the way..
It is ADHD; attention deficit hyperactivity disorder,,,, it is completely untreated, it can lead to complete zone-out, mood swings, obsesive bouts of 18 hour drawing binges, inability to save snapshots at propper intervals, tendency to save lowres JPEG for web and forget highres PSD, neglect food, girlfreind, cats, calls to mom, dad, brush teeth for 22 minutes at 430 in the mornin'
britt, thanks to you,,,,
Matt Brein, here is more
enthombed, thanks for the congrats,,,hahaha, you are fun-e-
yina, you real good.

Someone has been busy, and Im still lovin' it.
A Crit on the DNKY piece. You might want to bring the viewers eye to the bottom right corner with some device to utilize the entire page. Maybe its just me, but I feel like something is missing there. Hey, Great stuff. I see huge potential. On a side note, hope you don't mind me asking, but I would love to see some traditional work posted.
Keep dishin' em out.
