    Cow Jastorama: sketches, drawings, paintings...

    I'm visiting this forums now for a couple of months, and it's incredible how often I stumble into a new thread, and immediately want to stop drawing and start a career as pool attendant...

    Nevertheless here's a bunch of sketches:

    You've got what it takes,
    Dont go be a pool attendant,
    youll see old ladies in bikinis sitting in the jakuzi all day,
    and the bubbles will not necessarily be from the jakuzi.

    Better to keep drawing.

    Pay attention to your value control, specifically in your heads. you have a good feel for expression, but I think your values don't support it. Perhaps be a little more patient when drawing the heads, and deeper anatomy never hurts.

    Honest love makes one's soul a reflection of the partner's mood.

    No sleep - More draw!

    @charcoalArtist
    thanks

    @Eyal
    Well, I don't really plan a career at the pool, but it could be an option
    Thanks for your comment. I know that I have to spend more attention to the values, especially in the faces. I should draw more from life...

    Theres a sketch I did in school today. It was a boring lesson...

    Welcome to CA, Jast!

    Got some really awesome work here. Love the color in your first piece, and the lighting in the which piece is fantastic! You've got a strong grasp on the fundamentals, really good work on the perspectives in the shootout piece, and don't get me started on your paintings!

    Got 2 ear critiques for you. The clown's ear is too little, unless you were REALLY going for the freakish look haha. Still a very good piece. And on your 2nd image, the ear seems a little too high. Other than that you're set!

    Really great work, very very good start to any sketchbook.

    Keep drawing and keep posting, I'll be looking for an update!

    I'm really digging your style! I especially the amount of detail you put into this piece - http://www.8ung.at/sunstorm_engines/Hexe_02_72dpi.jpg

    Thanks for your comments!

    @IanE
    Yeah I know that issue with the ears of some of my heads. Most of my old work is completely off, but I've learned a lot from watching other's work and trying. I have the biggest problems with faces and legs... maybe I should go to an act drawing course.

    @glikster
    Thanks . This is one of the drawings, I've spent the most time on.

    Thanks!
    I did this drawing with the tank about 4 or 5 months ago in train. It started with a simply anatomystudy and ended up like this...

    a little drawing I did in the last hour:

    Good to see you updating. Your anatomy looks pretty solid, though the balance looks a little off in some of these sketches. I gotta say, though, the two full-scene pics - the sci-fi strip club and the wizard with the cauldron - really dynamite stuff.

    edit: I think I was a little tired or drunk when I posted the above. You're anatomy looks really sharp all around, and I really enjoy the way you challenge yourself with dynamic poses while keeping it accurate. Like I said above, a few of the poses are off-balance, by having the body curve in a distracting way or having the feet look like they couldn't support the body. You really surprised me with the kittenkiller - great cartoon sketch.

    Theres so much stuff in this thread that looks like a poster or a book-cover waiting to happen, and I'm wishing a few of those sketches were fully finished pieces (thats not a knock on you - I'm just greedy!) I'm really looking forward to more updates.

    youīve really got potential.
    canīt say, which I like most at the moment.

    just one crit: in your first posts some of the heads look a little bit to bit, but maybe itīs because of the comic style you are using

    Wow, I'm honored. Thanks for that nice reply. I'm trying to finish some pictures at the moment, but I don't have too much time, and I'm a lazy bastard...

    @jonny78
    Yeah, I have troubles with the correct proportions. Mostly the heads and/or hands are to big. I'm just covering this weakness by drawing in a comic style... I should draw more from life.

    a mech sketch from today:

    so many nice drawings ! The wizard, guy in tank, alien bar, kid & cat and the hands practice are amongst my favorites !

    The new mech's drawings have a lot of atmosphere and I love the legs/feet on the second last one (the blue/grey one). The mech from august 6th could use some work on his right leg I think (connection to the 'hip' and position could be more dynamic), but it's a sketch, so ... yeah.

    Wouldn't mind seeing some more finished works from you (finished sketches will do too ) !

    Wow thanks for your replies guys!

    @morbei
    thank you very much!

    @OleOlsen
    I hope so

    @NightVision
    My intention at the mech paintings was a moody color scheme, so I did not spend that much attention to a correct anatomy, I did not render all the details, and left them unclear to some point.

    @arghmisfit
    Then I won't loose time giving you something thats worth watching it
