This is something I'm working on currently. His name is Kenneth, and he's a pirate. There's a long and drawn out story that goes along with this one, but I'll save it for the finished version.
Erm... if anyone would care to give some pointers on how I should approach the water (especially at the posts that hold up the peir, and on the bandana there) with Prismacolour pencils, that'd be great.

Another of Kenneth. It could definately stand to be re-inked, but I dislike inking my sketches with black, because it makes the transferring process a nightmare.
He also needs to be moved over to the right about five inches.
Well if you plan on doing it all in ink, then you need to create different values with cross hatching and what not to give it more depth. Right now the way it is makes it seem very flat. Also, control your lines more near the water, it looks like spaghetti around it or something right now. Slow down and draw clean circular lines around it, and don't go through the post.
either is he a shemale or he's a far far relative of Bob (from Fight Club)
cause you drew he a nice pair of tits , other then that his right eye seem to be outta proportion and his right hand
These are just the initial ink sketches. I eventually transfer them to watercolour paper or bristol board (which ever happens to be cheaper at the student bookstore), and go full colour with pencil.Originally Posted by razuelWell if you plan on doing it all in ink, then you need to create different values with cross hatching and what not to give it more depth. I've recently taken up doing... fanart of sorts. I guess you could call it that.
Ink lineart of Indiana Jones (will be coloured... eventually)
Sketch of Buster Poindexter
My original character, Kyle... A little bit of Shinichirô Watanabe inspiration here... for some reason, I'm never able to notice when things don't flow right until after I scan it.
I like your lines a lot, vary clean and confident.
The only thing I could crit is that Kyles head seems a tad too big, but that might have been what you were shooting for, not sure.
Keep it up, like to see more

Give me some love! JARheads SKETCHBOOK of DOOM!
Yeah, I think that's what happens when you watch too much Cowboy Bebop lollOriginally Posted by JARheadThe only thing I could crit is that Kyles head seems a tad too big, but that might have been what you were shooting for, not sure.
A few more here...
Conan O'Brien (No reference)
Patrick Groulx (No reference) Sorry for the lame quality. My red pencil's just too damn small to sharpen, so I had to use the blue one. (boo-urns!)
(For those of you who don't know who Mr. Groulx is, he's a comedian from Quebec. photo.)
Partially Coloured Comic Book Cover (Yes, that's masking tape, because my wrist shakes, and it makes it hard to colour in the lines).

A little angle practice. I tried to keep the same basic structure throughout. Some of them turned out really bad. (Bic Ballpoint)
