This is my junkmachine made of corrugated iron, truck's tires, catterpillar tracks and the weapon is made of an airplane engine wich is converted to a flamethrower. You can control the whole thing from a distance with the gigantic controller.

By the way I think there are too few shadows because it's way too light.

Wow, this is a cool idea for a thread. I just found it today. It looks like a new topic should be posted soon. I'd like to try my hand for this next one...

Ok Guys, lets get to this:

ReneValderez- good picture, wish the image was a little larger and we had less negative space between image and title.

Jinsu- strong design, but overall it doesn't look really junk enough for me, maybe some dirt and grime would help.

N-mel- cool design, nice composition, cleaned up a bit would be an excellent piece.

Pixeldragoon- looks good, strong start. background would of finished this nicely

Nikotem- great design, cool mechanic, lack of backround causes it to suffer.

Exus- great image. . .I think the title and the image are a little conflicting.

Calliz- good image, like the driver with the control box. . .darker lines would of helped this one.

That's it guys, great pictures and I hope you stick around for the next one.

This looks like a good one, the only part I'm not sure will work is private american, I'm trying to think of what cape I can put on an army guy without making it look bad.

As far as the cape, I'm picturing something like General Bison with his cape from Street Fighter 2. I have an idea for the sexy firefighter costumer as well, however, I'm feeling the newbie in me here and am overwhelmed with this task...

Sorry Rick didn't have time this time to do this one. I'm was stuck in transition between a week of midterms and a week of projects. Although I am eager to see what you guys come up with. I know it's gonna be good. If I have time I'll try for the next one or maybe also try some for your re-design activity as well.

Well, I obviously ran out of time with this one, with very little flourish on some of the costumes (Lord Arcane's and Savage Sam's in particular). And while I think it was OK in the sketch, Angel's head seems a bit small, now. It also seems like Sam isn't on the same plane as Pvt. American. Still struggling with that dynamic, multi-figure thing. I whimped out and made their similarity the small eye mask.

did you do each character separately and then compose them? was it digital or traditional inks?

Thanks, Carnifex. Saying you're inspired to draw your own version may be the highest compliment I've received on these boards.

I drew Pvt. American first, then started filling in the other heroes around him, on their own layers. Once they were down, I decided to mix them up to improve the balance, then inked them (all of it was done in Painter 8). I did pencil sketches of a few of the characters in order to work up the costumes, though (as well as Sam's face, which I'm still unsatisified with).

    Edit: Ha! An "8" and a ")" make a "8)". I was trying to say Painter 8.

Well Carnifex you are right about that, and I could give a thousand reasons why.
    Listed:

    1- at work
    2- work outside
    3- very windy
    4- distracted by customers
5- had lots of other work

but, none of those are the real reason, the truth is I've had a falling out with the AD.

*man, Carnifex is a wise ass*
