You are one of the people I look to for inspiration here. You have style oozing out of your pictures. Its a breath of fresh air really. You seem to draw inspiration from such a pure place, your own personal space and not just a rehash of things already seen and heard. Your painterly works are good, but don't abandon your megawatt lineart please! Loved your 'kingfisher?" designs (not sure if I got that right), they are so innovative.

Hope to see more from you. You are definitely one of the more underexposed talents here.

I'd lost my nerve of late, don't ask why, no reason, just had to take a leap to do something... maybe my inspiration was lacking, not sure. I've been working on three projects simultaneously: concept one, next gen character another, tech rig work another, it has finally taken it's toll and I'm somewhat fried...

    anyway...

lukavi, lewiston, if I could get an iota of the fluidity and grace you both achieve in your work I'd be happy. So thanks for the kind words, it means a great deal.

The line art will stay, it's what I do, it's what I am. I just need to judge when to paint on top of it and when not to, job to job...

These sketchbook pages are somewhat lacking, but I needed to get something solid down:

this was painted up as before (but without the care, attention and time), then ruined with some blurring...

just some elder being throwing some shapes, he and the guy with his arse out only have two arms. It's how I show movement... sometimes.

Got a few more blue lines I need to ink up, so I'll update soon.

    Cheers again!

I love those line pieces. Really characteful with simple lines, confident wodnerful stuff. How do u think of those costumes?
Nice curviture on the red writing, adds a lot of movement and depth.

My heart honestly picks up the pace when I notice a new update here. I think perhaps it's in anticipation of having to force blood into my genitalia when I clap eyes on the images.

    Pant-crappingly wonderful.

    More lovely, lovely work.

I'm afraid I don't get a rush of blood to the genitals like Mr.Dixon who's 'testenticles' seem to groan when you post, but my jaw does drop on the desk. Great anatomy topped off by splendid ideas and a wonderful range of faces and expressions.

And so very very very clean.

    *sigh*

Hot damn! I do love your inks and humor, not to mention your interplay and marriage with type. Nice. Very, very nice.

    Cheers and don't get fried!

    Hi,
your line art is pure candy for my eyes, and I know, for doing it myself, that render an antomy with a simple black regular line isn't that easy. I especially love the work on the hands, so tell me please, are you using ref ? If yes, from life, or photos ?

    Really really nice work there!

    just one comment.

Stop saving your color'd pieces as Gif's.
Gif should be used for line art and pieces with little color in it.
If there a lot of colors (or even values) the whole Gif is useless, cause it will be bigger then Jpg (cause of the custom pallet included in each GiF), and the quality will be quite bad. (cause GiF only supports up to 256 colors if I am correct)

Use Jpg (low to mid compression) on your color and value pieces. It will make them lighter to download and nicer to look at.

    Just a hint ofcourse

    But outstanding work!

Most of of the art on CA is good, but i don't think i can find any faults in yours at all. Your line work is especially breathtaking. In fact, i get a bit of a tingly feeling everytime i look at it.

    Damn you!

    Busy busy busy.

Manic two weeks of storyboarding a walkthrough for this unnamed secret project. It's changed direction and no doubt will again. Hopefully it means no one will be upset if I show you this stuff which was rejected (though it may disappear at some point). Anyway.. the storyboarding was more fun to get out of the way than actually do, nothing I'm too proud of result wise. 63 frames, 1-2 hours each, which is probably a luxury to some people out there, but there you go. Now I remember why I don't do comics anymore...

and some of that old sketchbook nonsense...

Thanks all for the comments, I feel I owe you all more than I give....(except Mr Dixon: put it away, Matt!)

I'll try and stop by some of you guys' books soon
