I can't believe how talented you are. You're good - no, best - at EVERYTHING. People, animals, all races, all centuries, scifi stuff, fantasy things, 2D and 3D, machines, landscapes.. I'm afraid of you.

You must be some 800-years-old grandpa who has had no other life than drawing. You freak.

    (And that was a compliment.)

Going through this thread I keep vacillating between absolute inspiration and deep depression. These are just SO wonderful. Please keep the whimsy. I whimsy almost as much as I the hat.

And omigosh, the HAT. I LOVE the hat. "Too much?" No. Just perfect.
    "No more soccer!"

micha, thanks, good luck getting that sketchbook going, having one's work in the public sphere really helps with development (well, I feel so), anyway, just for you, here's another confused robot....

    bye-bye bump

damn, I wish I had noticed you started a SB thread, I've been a fan since you first posted the alien fusileer a few months back.

now, a question about your process: I was messing with the loose colored pencil foundation -> fine line -> digital color finish technique for a while but I was finding that it was killing the spontaniety of the original sketch. How do you keep it fresh?

bwkeough, my roughs are pretty, well, rough at times, and my pencil line flows more than my scratchy wobbly, little ink line, so there are still plenty of choices for me to make with the line when it comes to the inking... hopefully these unknown choices help to keep some of the spontaneity.
