The sketch os okay. There are some issues with anatomy, and I think if you're going to move her hand so that the gun is pointing at the viewer the perspective should be a little more dynamic. As the far as the colors go? I don't know, you need to do more work on those.

Her neck is really long and appears to be too far to the left (too close to her right shoulder) The foreshortening of her back leg isn't working yet - what exactly is is meant to be doing? It just looks like it's too short at this point. Her head is pretty huge but it might work if the character's fairly stylized in the end.

The neck on the colored one also seems too long and is at a funny angle, as if there are no bones in it. It looks a touch too rubbery and technically, should go up to the base of her ear, not in front of it.

i figured out what's wrong with the legs... the leg on our right should be extending backwards in space from the knee, the left on the left shouldn't right now the calves are sorta on backwards. thanks for the comment about the neck, i fixed it's connection to the head looks *alot* better. jfwalls, no sure what ya mean by the colour... needs more detail and shadow or are you not liking the colour choices?

The biggest thing that bothers me is the eyes, they don't line up really at that angle. Even if you're going to stylize that heavily, using an actual photo can really help with placing facial features.

okay guys, how's this looking? fixed the neck, messed with the eyes a bit, and sketched in what new legs and a new left arm. i think the legs are looking signifigantly more "correct" they where driving me nuts earlier and i couldn't figure out why.

There's no contrast or shading. It's just flat color with nothing. If u squint your eyes and look at the image nothing stands out. If you still have to work on the shading then it might be ok. But if that's the way you're going to leave it then it needs alot more work.

naw these are just the base colours. i'm doing the bases in vector.. i'm thinking i *might* add shading in Painter... i also might go with the "ziptone" approach... not sure. how's the updated pose working? i really appreciate the comments btw. it's stuff i hopefully would notice on my own but don't due to being so close to it for some long yanno?

I dunno man, i'd try redrawing the character itself. This pose just doesn't work, its very uncomfortable.. what exactly is she doing, I can't even tell, even after the revision.

Don't be too committed to what you've got. If its just not working, don't be afraid to just start over, you might like what you get the next time around, completely redrawing all together.

i rather like the pose myself, it's not a matter of being committed to it... i have a think for awkward poses if you've looked at any of my other work. the idea was that she was sorta floating in zero-g.
