Nice pieces, I really like the first one and the texture you got in the monster.

Very nice! Man is that little girl creepy! The pose she's in and her expression are awesome. It makes her look so dangerous.

The first one is great. The monster is wonderful, all those great textures. I am loving the color contrast of the fire and the paynes grey smoke. In the second one the colors are little bit muddy, especially in the face close up.

Pic #1= the greatness. Something amazing about the piece. It meshes fantasy with reality so damn well.

He who asks is a fool for five minutes,
but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

    Starting over.

    hey mime,
these pics look very good. i like the composition and the colors in the first one. the only thing thats a bit boring is the expression of the mans face in the tree. i think i would more desperately in his position i think i would scream or something.
the second one has nice characters, good workd there too.

The cultists around the campfire in the first image are beautifully rendered.

Is that a Dark Young of Shub Niggurath about to close that guy's account?

    Hail Yog Sothoth!

Thanks everyone for the replies =)

vigostar : I worked those two pieces as portfolio pieces, that's why I am showing them larger than usual. But of course when working I was also making sure that the pictures would still be readable at a small size

jfwalls : I am glad you like the little girl, I am trying to develop a recurrent character of mine with her, a sort of personal vision of death and madness. I will try to portray her more in the future in personal pieces.

fatmike : I see what you are saying for the second picture's colors.
The second picture is much more personal than the first one, those earthy and desaturated colors are among my favourite color schemes, but I will try to enhance them in order to break the muddy look

Revenant : I haven't read the sandman comics yet (shame on me) but I admit that I was inspired by the awesome tv show "carnivàle". Thanxs for the comment =)

Ironclad : Call of Cthulhu is a trading card game (and a role playing game, and much more derivated works) based on books and universe created by writer H.P lovecraft.

egerie : for the second one I tried to put much more of my personality and universe in it than in the first picture. At first the DA asked me for a scene in an asylum, with an orderly plunging a man in a straigh-jacket inside a tub of mirky water. I added the little girl's character, as a personal representation of insanity and death. I thought that it would add a great deal of creepyness and mystery to the picture

Miau : you are completely right about the man's face, I'll try to rework it a little.

Summer pudding : yes it is a Dark young thank you.
