    School

School sucks, doesnt it. You have exams and five days of boredom every week. Whats more, not only did they take away our day, they stole our night aswell with homework.God I hate school and every b*****d that decided it was a good idea.

You may get educated but Bill Gates is a billionaire and he wasnt too fond of school either. So....quit school and become a billionaire......or a hobo.

Lots of stuff in school is really pointless. Some is kind of helpful. Just do your work and draw, everything will be alright.

I do draw in class. Especially in Business Studies. We have a reject politician for a teacher, he looks like a monk and keeps getting confused. He often says 'lets do question number B'...

I often get that feeling, mostly in Irish class. Dont get me wrong Im proud to be Irish, but I hate the fact that we have to learn a language that is of absolutely no benefit to us at all. Its a proven fact, there are more Cantonese speakers in Ireland than Irish speakers. Plus the fact that my Irish teacher is a complete bitch, she gave us homework for the holidays!!!! Id love to slap that cheesy grin off her face.

I'm sure school is helpfull for those people that don't know what they want to do with their lifes, but for someone who does I think they should devote all their time to doing that thing, their muse. Just a thought.

the way i see it, K-12 school ain't so much for the learning, it's to teach you how to take orders for the rest of your life cuz you're gonna be doing it for the rest of your lives, and it aint gonna get any easier.. might as well get used to it while your fuck-ups dont matter as much..

i screwed up in school a lot and i really regret it. almost flunked out cause i was doing my art too much. i learned alot about balance...and workaholism. i didn't see the point of all the pointless stuff. now i see more how it all ties in and makes me a better and more productive artist. funny how the gen eds come back and help you out later as well as the foundational courses. wish i wouldn't have skipped so much and taken the time to glean more from my instructors. school is hard but worth it. i'm dying to go back after being out for awhile now.

    What Apollo said...

I loved school. I didn't mind the teachers. I didn't like the lessons but I enjoyed learning, taking in the information.....but its the delivery of the information that I really disliked (boring lectures, overzealous teachers, disorganized and unprepared for smartass questions and so on).

When I went to art school, I loved school even more.

Then I went to the Army.....now that, REALLY sucked.

Then I went into the industry.....that's a REAL school...which I really enjoyed despite almost having a complete machine breakdown near the end of almost 2 yrs consistent overtime.

Now I'm back in an art school. I almost gave it all up but it was the right decision to come in the end.

    So.....I don't think school sucks.

School is quite possibly the best invention\discovery ever made. I like school a great deal. What I hate? I hate myself for procrastinating. I hate the fact that I put so much damn pressure on myself. I wonder what art school is like.

I'm having trouble drawing on a daily basis right now. To much nothingness going on. I'm so repetitive.

Suck it up and finish. It's few years out of your life. As long as you have a good portfolio, nobody will care if you got a D in tenth grade Spanish. They *will* care if you don't graduate.

    I hear ya patternagainst.

School wasn't all that bad. I even moved alot and went to all different schools cross country, so that meant being introduced into entire new social structures. And I still have best friends from different places. School really builds peoples' character and shapes personalities if you think about it. The work isnt all that bad, just suck it up, and get by. It makes you appreciate your free time more.
    Motivation...gone.

What I didn't like about school was that the first nine years or so were too easy...I didn't really have to do much at all. Then it got a lot harder, but it was still too easy to pass the classes. What good does a class do if you can pass it without actually studying?
I used to hate getting homework or having to study during the weekend or holidays...Now I don't care about that anymore, I just wish they would have taught me the only important thing in school - to study (which is what you're supposed to do)! If you learn to work hard in school - to do what you're supposed to do, even though it seems pointless - you will have all the time in the world to practice your art after that.
