Always beautiful bro. I love the way you use a very soft edge brush to start, and gradually make the details tighter and sharper.

I'm looking at your sketchbook in awe hurricane, it's just awesome. I'm really curious on how you got this far on your own developed methods (I read you don't use books). Tried to find it out by looking for some of your first stuff on this forum but all those pics are offline now. I get stuck with alot of methods somehow.. Well one thing is for sure: I should draw from life more. But still, most methods simplify the body in all kinds of shapes but I don't recognize that kinda stuff in any of your drawings, it all seems to come very naturally. I'm just very curious for your learning ways cause you developed a great style, so loose and yet so detailled

    dude, Seriously whats up?
I mean, I seriously DO believe this is the finest sb out there. Content beyond imagination, substance to fill a thousand creeks, skills like a magician!
When did you decide that you wanted to become an artist?
And, what things do you think were most useful to improve?

I just cant find any flaw in your works.

hey man awesome dragon concept. i think you got some real good talent. the only crit i can think of is with your pencil sketchs if you could avoid shading wildly and have it more controled thry make it so you only have lines angled so they are aimed at a certain light source weather they are completly in shadow of faint. know what i mean? and cross hatch too man but only in really dark areas. take care bud

absolutely killer stuff dude. i really liked that last update, that bug creature looks badass. I also really like how you rendered the fleshy-skeletal lookin arms on the creature with the tentacles coming out of it's head on this one http://www.bjornhurri.com/sb/06/Augu...stpaper_45.jpg
    good stuff dude.

I just realised that your first name is Bjorn, I thought it is Hurri. hehehe. I like how Hurri sounds. But I never liked calling people by last name, reminds me military schools for children, they all called each other by last name, blah. What should I do? What should I do? What should I do? I'm gonna freak out, it is a dilemma I can't resolve. I just can't call people by their last name.
Maybe you will come to rescue me and give some alternative name? Something starting with H and ending with I, but not a last name.

I have to say, you are an artist very much effected by your current mood. Maybe your drawings are created in different times, but they all very often look like from different people, or at least from different periods of time, months between. Only your hard pressing on pencils still stays the same and love to details and rendering, and I like that fact on very many levels. You are emotional, but loyal and you can be patient, you are able to wait. yeah, that's what I think. heheh. My cheap "insights". Still I think so. Big variety of themes and lines, but always some steady detail, some consistency in manner to present yourself.

I like the little person in historic costume the most. He has a great individuality about him. So well put together, with perfect posture, with self-esteem and confidence and appropriated respect to authority in his figure. I have no idea how this image found its way to your imagination, but it just reminds me so much about some books I read, about XVIII century, about people from this time, suave, fine, careless, carrier-oriented, self-adored, narcissistic, cruel to people below them and to animals too, just because of the beliefs of this time. in their own impeccable and perfect nature. Passionate, but quite limited intellectually. Good soldiers and lovers, brilliant shells.
Even in slightly yellowish paper and manner of your drawing there is something from this time.
I like that you added surrealistic features to him. It all suits together, I think. It was fantasmagoric time, with fast moving up and suddenly falling down from top. with nerves tickling adventures and carnivals. Unreal time. I just adore the fact, that you felt this, sitting with your sketch book in your modern chair (I somehow doubt you did it outside of your home, this image has very artificial feeling, in good sense. It's a product of too much reading, full of literature associations, ex-book worm will be able tho have images like this in his mind).
I like the drunk spider too and entangled lines in other images.
The dog caught my sympathy, I feel bad for it. He needs someone who will carry it on his hands all his life.
OK, see you, be always happy. I think you are sweetest person on forum.

Hurricane, well, I'm not sure what I could say that hasn't been said here a thousand times, and I'm not nearly as eloquent as sve. But I get so much out of looking at your work, that I feel I have to check in every once in a while and just tell you how much I like you SB and say thanks for sharing. You must be getting sick of these kinds of posts.

Please stop by my new Anatomy Sketchbook and critique the hell out of it.
