The hand studies seem 2 go the right way. I take you are righthanded and are looking at your left hand while drawing. You should use a mirror for the faces or do lifedrawings of other people.
Let me see more!
My english suck 2
The traditional way to be great at drawing human figure is first start with Skeleton (skull is a must), then muscles, and work your way up from their.
I live in Cali so my English is sucky 2.
Check out my SKETCH THE LEGEND
ok, i will do something like thathuman figure is first start with Skeleton (skull is a must),

Good Morning together,
Here are again some drawings... Yesterday I started with some arm position / head position studies; think I will scan it in a few hours. Please I need criticism very urgent, MFG Fló
My brother took a photo of my sister lieing on the steps. I tried to draw this scene.
There are many spots were I do not know what to draw and how. -again sry for my poor english.
EDIT: Just got back our first big Work in English - I got an A *G*
Just a boring drawing with a kind of gelpen.
Rememberings of the evening before in school next day
Tried to draw a face out of a dummy.... horribel
Just another unroportional head
Here my first basic head studies - description is out of the internet
some more basic heads.
I have such a bad motivation, I simply must go over this barrier. Meanwhile I bought a wacom graphire 3, which is much fun, but I really don't know how to handle it right.
Maybe it is no bad idea to get into such a sb-group.
Started with the "Drawing on the right side of the Brain - Workbook" today.
lection 1: SP
ps apple, posted in another thread, kinda overworked
always remember dude: construction is everything. You're walking on the right path keep at it. Draw manymanymany anatomystudies to be able to understand how the human body moves. Build your figures up from cubes and stuff. Start with the skeleton and if you got it, move on to the muscles. Use a lot of refs and draw even more from life!
Just keep at it and draw draw draw!!
Hey, Flo. You are (as Gloominati said) very much on the right path here! Keep doing your anatomylessons, and you'll get there in no time! But don't let go of your imagination either, do stuff out of your head a lot as well, and incorporate the anatomystuff your studying into it.
The last self portrait is definately a step up for ya!
Keep it up.
keep it up man, remember to look for shaps, good work, draw, draw, draw
Thank you, Can you recommen a good and cheap anatomy book to me?
Some old things, newer later
again from this other cool thread
saveloomies.com - very bad ;(
drawed in a restaurant
roses, after 5min my grandmother picked up the roses and threw them away.
Of yourse I can: http://www.saveloomis.org/ . If you don't already have em spend an afternoon saving "figure drawing for all its worth" . Study em well dude!!Originally Posted by FL0
You're showing a commitment to what you're doing and that's great. I'm going to be brutally honest with you. By drawing faces, I believe you are trying something that is far too advanced for you at this point. You lack in confidence and experience in your pencil and observational skills, which results in mediocre art.
My advice to you would be to draw simple things from life. I don't know if there's an art school in Salzburg, but I would highly recommend taking a class in fundamental drawing if the said school offers courses to non-enrolled students.
Keep pushing and you will succeed!
PS: Ich kann auch Deutsch, fals du was nicht verstanden hast, schreib mir einfach einen 'personal message'
@Alex J Cunningham: i think thats exactly the thing what i'm doing wrong. But i think it's getting better each time i'm putting my lazy ass on a chair and just draw what i see. And that's a bit encouraging. So i will keep on reading through saveloomies, and through this book around me and hoping it will get better. And the more i draw, the more it's making fun. For example this clown before, it was simply great to draw....
Yes, there are drawing schools in salzburg, and i'm going to visit one.
And thank you for your openess. That's exacly what our society needs. And sorry for my poor english, but i understand each word, thanks to some great dictionarys
@emooe: just thank you, for your nice words and for the fish.

no-comment to my non-updating thread. But thought of starting it again.
Everything I could find from the last days ,weeks, months, year, dont' know.
The cool stuff ist at school
just a short comment would be very very kind..
Good progress in your thread!
I like most of the pncil sketches in your last posts, the sketches with the blue pen(?) are not on the same level though. Try to go for less lines when drawing with a pen maybe.
Just keep on doing some studies on proportion, anatomy, constructive anatomy....and do some drawings from life, sketch peple, animals, whatever - it'll help you when drawing from your mind.
hope that helps
