cheers matt, the texture stuff is the easy part, try it and you'll see there isnt anything special in my work.

some doodles from last night, for some reason im feeling more comfortable in my A3 sketchbook these days, but its pain in the ass to scan on A4 scanner.

edit: page 4! oh yeah im happy

Holy crap man, you rock! You must have thousands of ideas just flowing through your head every minute. o.o Hmm.. I'm at the stage where.. I want to practice my anatomy like crazy as well as perspective to get my drawings at a better non-newb anime style.. haha. Hmm.. but I must say.. as for proportions, I think most of your characters legs are a little too short. Arn't they supposed to be like half the body length? But that's all I see wrong.. maybe for finished art you could make them a little more defined and clear like you were saying. But I see nothing else, you have some great work man. Keep it up!

seems like you still have to define a personal style, and you are very influenced by other styles like Marko's, Hurricane and Warhammer artist, but its perfectly normal. You'll develop a personal one as time goes by.BUt anyway you're doing a very fine job with digital colouring and character design, you've got some very got peices around here.
Continue experimening and you'll go far

    ciao

Very nice. It was great looking at the entire sketchbook and seeing the pregression of your work. Congrats on that.

A good number of your pieces hold that gritty, sketchy Silent Hill quality that I myself am a HUGE fan of (that creature on page...what was it, 3?) with the key lock-head was almost instantly recognizable as having a Pyramid Head infulence to it. A lot of your other stuff is very "Tank girl" and "Mad Max". Not that being instantly linked to something is bad, just curious as to what your influences might be.

Either way, keep on posting. Some real nice stuff.

TheGnoll - yeah spot on, im still experimenting with lots of things, and its hard not to be influenced by others, theres a long list of my influences, thanks for stopping by.

tekdj - thansk alot, means very much to me to hear that.

Skeiff - thanks man, im so envious of your painting skills

taves - tank girl and mad max? havent read the tank girl comics in many many years, brings back happy memories. Well im influenced by alot of stuff and people, i wouldnt say silent hill influenced me alot but i did see the film and it was cool, the key guy was more taken from Mirror Mask than anything.

Zaknafain - hey man, u think so? i dont see it or feel it at all, its getting a wee bit frustrating to. i kinda liked that one to, it was the quickest one here to do, i might pick it up again. thanks

heres another small update from today and a doodle page a did to take a break from it

    cheers all

Really nice painting, his hair style is a little funny, I don't know if this was intentional or not but you should call it the "comb-over". The process shots are really cool, each stage is a nice piece in and of itself.

Wow, so much progress since the last time I was here. Gotta try and keep up with this man! Lotsa great ideas in your sketches and I like very much your colors. One crit: like the Gnoll said before, I noticed the last piece resembles Marko's piece with the guy shooting the wolves. Similar angle, snow, theme and so on. Could be wayyyy off base, but that's what I think when I look at it. I won't harp on this much because I'm sure you already know what you want to correct in your art.

The step by step was cool, I never skip loking at one of those. Looking forward to more art man!

sorry no images to show today just replies casue im online sending emails and im bored

MrBobMarley - i was going for a ash wasteland type feel with that one and was trying to do something diffrent with the pose than my standard standing characters, but i cann see similiarites now with it, everytime i think im doing something a little bit original, i remeber i see it done before. Guess good images just stick in your head. ill put it down to inexperience and move on to the next one, cheers man.

Bojee - in the future comb overs will be all the rage

Listing - thanks alot, i hope there are some

Really loving the designs on those last drawings, dude! Strong stuff! One little crit i can give is to watch your proportions (i fuck that up all the time myself). You tend to make the heads a tad too big. Looks sweet aside from that, mate! Keep it up!

ahh third time trying to reply, bloody attachment manager keeps clsoing the window

Fellah. - thanks for stopping bye it means alot. i noticed the head issue as well, i think its the way im drawing flat and not lifting the board to check often enough.

i shrunk the head and started painting it, not using the attachements this time, bloody thing.

Whaddap Brad, thanks for stopping by my book homeslice. This last post is looking sweet, the toxic atmosphere is nice. I noticed that you figures all seem to have a floppy ragdoll set of proportions. I think drawing and underlying skeleton, a proportional and realistic skeleton as a framework, might help you layer on the muscles and weight of the figure more convincingly. It's obvious that you're thinking through each design though, whereas it's painfully obvious I don't do the same thing. Good stuff man.
