damn this is a sick sketchbook....I dunno why more people didn't reply. I also thought this was an old thread because of the way you put the date down. It says 3/06/05 and I thought you meant march 6th. These are great though, I really like the way you color your SB.

very nice pieces. just all around excellent. I like the concept pieces a lot!! The noses in your ink pieces are a little dark, though...

aan - thanks man, forgot that the date can be written diffrent ways, all fixed now.
glikster - thanks for stopping by, still getting used to drawing in ink
DarkSketch - cheers
some various pages, working up to doing a few small oils in the book but trying to get the confidence of getting stuck in.
a speed painting expirement, painting over photos of textures overlayed on drawing. i know kinda cheating by if it works.
thanks for looking, comments appreciated

finally got the oil paints i bought months ago out, found them very tricky but good fun, so this one is kinda crap but i learnt a hell of alot from it.
inspired by a sargeant painting but had a star wars feel in mind with the hologram thing.
being a cheap bastard i didnt want to waste any oils left on the pallete so slapped them on the page and doodled later over it.
bisley inspired batman
another sketch, possibly for next attempt in oil
dont ask me about this, had a block so just doodled over various photos

hey, nice sketchbook so far
i'm about to experiment with paints for the first time, as well. should start that in a week or so. lovin' the solid, smooth, and confident lines in your work.. must've taken a long time to get that sort of penmanship. all i have to say as far as critiquing is to not make men's heads so wide all the time. some men have amazingly feminine features. keep it up!

Love your pencil sketches, and I have to say, you have a brillaitn style of painting!!! I was just browsing around the sketchbooks like I always do when i need inspiration, and I came across yours: youve definitly put some ideas in my head ^_^ Brillaint sketchbook, I'll definitly be checking back

Spooky Tonberry - thanks man,but i pretty much suck at painting, just about hold a pencil.
had another go at the opening sequntial.
this is a doulbe page spread, hence the white line down the middle, and the large space to left will have text in it.

Hey, you have some cool pieces here. great sketching. Don't worry about the lack of replies. It takes time to get attention here
Oh and, stop saying your stuff is bad! it's really annoying to hear that every time you post!!! I think you're underestimating yourself.
Keep posting crazy stuff

Pesmerga - thanks man, ill keep up my confidence in what i do.
first off i re touched up them sequential pages, opting for a more Noir look, with a few colours, i prefer this look, bit more dramatic. made the image bleed off the page, not to sure what font to use for dialogue.
some random sketch book pages,
not quite sketchbook, bit of old cardboard in work.
nothing to exciting just scribbles for a tattoo designs ill be getting in a week or two
Thanks everyone for looking, and for any C&C left

Dude you have some nice stuff here. I like how it progressing. There's the niggly few anatomy issues with the odd piece but the last update is great especially pic 115 (?) .
(ps with the lack of replies - it helps to crit and comment on other people's SB's. You have to give as well as take so others can check out who you are especially if you link your sketchbook to your comments. It's only polite to comment or help others).
Keep it up and lets see more.

Wow... I really like the ideas you have. they are some great concepts. your proportions and stuff are very good and I really like your futuristic soldier designs. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, your faces are the only part that need catching up. They've definately gotten better though from your first few picsin the thread.

WARHEAD - thanks, sometimes you seem to hit the anatomy others it gets screwed, guess practice makes perfect.
AZmayu - thanks for stopping by
Rampage99 - i think im gradually getting better, still a long way to go, thanks for comments
not to much to update just a couple of sketches that were meant to be for some oils, so sorry for crappy pics had to photograph them, bit large.
Tarzan type sketch
some sort of knight on a crusade
close up of him
