Man, all you need to do for improvement is draw draw draw! It is obvious that you are seeing extrememly well, so what you really need at this point is to put in lots of practice time to refine your motor skills, as it were.

    Aka, POST MORE OFTEN

Nice volume/quality of work.. Really like the 'blue' piece, very cool birds. Only crit would be to use varying line weights in your pencils, i think that would really help them zing... ;-)

    daveskogstad: thanks mate
smoothrider_41: hmm, revisiting it could be a good idea...i really should follow through on my sketches sometimes for practice's sake...
RandAlThor: heh thanks. spose my biggest crime is that rather than buying good pencils i just take any i find laying around, quality be damned :p

the black one in the cmyk series cracked me up, i feel like blue and red are the most effective out of the series though, the subject matter and renderings are perfect. keep on kicking arse.

    figures are coming out awesome!

forget 'the dips' - i get it all the time,. and as you say, the only way is to plow on through the other side. I'm in a dip right now, so tonight I'm gonna draw til my hands hurt.

cool updates, animals look lovely as ever and your figures have some nice detail to them.

No scanner? Then do moar digitals!

    Nice character here.
I think his left horn isn't foreshortened correctly, considering the angle of his right horn.
Also, I find it's good design to vary the angle of collar bones - horizontal is boring.

nice characters you have there - animals still my favourites- you have a dark power with those of the animal kingdom, they have an eerie lifelike quality at times.

wicked stuff - is our sketchgroup still alive then? ;-)
