Question for others who live in southern california..

Hey I was wondering if there was anyone here from the Orange County, Cali area that could let me know of some places where I can walk in and do figure drawings from a live model. Right now I'm taking a class at a community college but it's only 3 hours twice a week and it doesn't seem to be enough. Looking for something where I can get some nice long poses in. Thanks.

UCLA extension has some uninstructed and instructed figure drawing classes which feature some good models.
Also ACCD at night is a good program, though much more costly than UCLA.

Here's a couple of OC life drawing sessions I saw on meetup.com's figure drawing group.

    OCC:
    By phone: (714) 432-5880, Press 1
    Online: www.occtickets.com
    Search Term = life
    Or in person:

    Orange Coast College
Art Center 325 (Bursar's Office to buy tickets)
    2701 Fairview Road
    Costa Mesa, CA 92626

To recap: It's (most) Saturdays 9-12 noon and 1-4 pm
Mornings are short poses; afternoons are long pose for painting.
And CSUF's Santa Ana art center (I believe on Saturdays)
The group meets twice a week for a long (3 hour) pose. Please contact the organizer, Debra Marsh, before showing up as space is somewhat limited.

Don't be shy as there's probably room for you and it's an excellent opportunity!
    Hope that helps.
