    Last Leaf - Help please

    Hi,

I started making this today on Painter 9:

    Last Leaf - Help please

I don't know what to do in the empty space, either a City at night with car lights. Or sea?

Which do you think will be better?

C&C's please for what I've got at the mo.

Everything is somewhat muddy and without focus, that tree doesn't really look like a tree. If you want to improve fast, focus on drawing.. and then painting after you have some mastery of drawing. Sorry if that sounded mean or anything.

The branches don't have any feeling of the fractal growth pattern of actual trees. Look at the real thing.
Youv'e got a tangent created by the top of the leaf in front of the hill.
The leaf floating in the sky looks like a chili pepper.

I'm going to have to agree with Sinix here. Try touching the details up.
But clouds may work well in the space.

Thanks for the comments. I'ev been trying to make things sharper, but when I do that it makes it look like i've just cut and pasted bits of other work. I can't seem to get them to stay sharp and still blend in to make it look more realistic.

hahah I like the chilli pepper thing.

How can I make it sharper and make the focus on the tree?
