    Deadpool wip

    wip

Thats something Im working on, I just got a wacom and am using that peice to learn my way around using it.

the first two sketchs i did with the wacom are here ( http://ktobin.deviantart.com/scraps )... i was suprised with how enjoyable it feels to draw with one.

looks nice for the first wacom painting.

Watch your anatomy and your proportions. There are many things wrong here: the legs are to big, the left side of his upper body looks wrong his left arm (the one without sword) is really tiny etc...

Theres an easy way to avoid such things:
    - Look at your painting for some minutes, searching mistakes.
    - Mirror your image and do it again.

Make a list of the wrong proportions and of the bad anatomy (maybe also get some refference pictures) and fix all of them.

Btw: which painting program? Could help to get better critiques.

besides your proportions i would watch your lighting. his left eye should be really dark. Also you should work on your perspective.

I would reiterate the previous statements, as his anatomy is off. His arms are, well, puny! Look to the perspective on his right foot. At our angle, would we not see the top of his foot? Keep these small details in mind as you plug along, and keep working at that Wacom!

He who asks is a fool for five minutes,
but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

    Starting over.

you've had some good advice on anatomy/proportions so I'll stick to design.
the white bands on his suit(?) look interesting but the entire costume could use more detail and originality, right now it just looks like a vaguely superhero/villian-ish thing with no real purpose. the sword as well could be more interesting than just a somewhat generic ninja sword. find some refs of real ninjas (yes they did exist) and real japanese swords to get more ideas.
sorry if this sounded a bit mean, its a good start!
    keep drawing!
