good start, keep it up. the biggest tip i can give (and i'm sure i won't be the only one) is to check out some anatomy books (www.saveloomis.org has some excellent information). learn them proportions and such. you've obviously got some talent, if you keep working at it you'll be kicking ass in no time!

Didnt have much time to draw today, but I still managed to get this one done well... somewhat before the day ended. This was done in pen.

Also thanks for the saveloomis site. I've been reading his books for some time now on faces.

Thanks alot for viewing my sketchbook. I was sick today but I still manage to pump some sketches out not that detailed. My new sketches will be more detailed of the skull focusing more on exact bones and placement. I also need to work on the perspective of each view. Im really learning alot and having fun drawing these skulls. I must admit though it is kinda tedious drawing these skulls over and over and over again. Pratice makes perfect hey keep a watch on this sketchbook ok please. The reason Im drawing skulls only is because I need to learn the bone structure of the human face. My next sketchbook will focus on me mastering flesh and muscles of the human face.. how delightfull...

    hi!

you have a lots of bad proportions here because you haven't read well what loomis says!
the human head is devided in 3 equal parts.. It can be seen that you haven't understood what you've been drowing - how the lines move once with the "ball" of the head...
you are rushing into getting the head done, and lose the steps on the way - that's not the way to do it! Be paciente!!!

    Check your PM please!

Thanks for for the information Icy and for viewing my sketchbook. Heres some updates for today. Just more skulls as usual not too detailed again. By the end of week or next week they will get very detailed in bone structure.

keep it up. from the looks of it you need to concentrate a little harder and work slower. try to 'see' the object and understand it in 3 demensional form. Then draw it EXACTLY like you see, when you can master that then all it is from there is practice and tweaking the person.

bridgeman's anatomy books are pretty good imo. You might want to check that out. Its good to see you do studies because in the end it will really help you, even if its boring. Have fun drawing too, if you are not having fun, it can be really hard.

nice studies here! ..i see some improvement with your rendering and perportions of the face! my only crit is to free up your hand and arm... lift it up off of the paper and move your entire arm to get a nice fluid motion... and another thing is to start your construction lines much much lighter so it'll be alot easier to edit if you make a mistake... take your time on each piece and force yourself to concentrate on one image for as long as you can hold yourself to it
(maybe start with a one minute drawing then a 5 minute then a 30 min then a hour or three hour drawing <---- those types of practices help me out alot)

...good stuff so far! jus keep drawing and drawing and drawing and post what you do yeah!

WOW! I haven't been here in a super long time. I have lost contact with all the guys who posted above and gave me advice. I had stopped drawing and decided it was a pointless hobby. However, now I see the light! I have new goals and I'm ready to reach for the sky and improve my drawing abilities dramatically. This is my first lil sketch since 2005 lol.... I gotta get back into the swing of things... Let's get this back started...
