Getting started as a concept artist, freelance??

    Just curious,
what are some pointers you guys have for someone trying to start off at this?

I'm thinking freelance for the time being,
but seeing as i'm not branching off of a fulltime gig, naturally I don't
    really have any contacts.

Of course first thing to do would be to build a nice portfolio(any tips on a good direction to take that?).

    But what about finding work?

Anyhoo, just any tips you guys have would be nice.

P.S. I apologize if this is the 1000th post like this...
I just got devilmaycry3 so no time to do a search, I wana get crackin at it! haha

    thanks!
