    Hi zou,

Good progress on the comic! Although I like to point out some things I noticed.

I just noticed that we're supposed to read this from right to left so correct me if I'm wrong.

    Anyway, on to the crits:

Frame 1: I'm not sure what the purpose of this shot is. And what is the role of that bug? It doesn't appear anywhere else so you probably don't need to show it. Or maybe you could replace it with the main insect.

Frame 2: It would be great if you added the blue color to its patterns. So we know it's the same insect from the other frames.

Frame 3: My favorite shot. Great job with the perspective and the mood. I love the plants, too.

Although I would increase the contrast by making the light from the girl's room pop out more so we have a secondary focal point so we know where the insect is heading. Because you have other light values( ex: the highlight on the dome, the garage door on the lower left side, etc) that are competing with each other. Have us focus on the light from her room.

Frame 4: The door looks open from the inside rather from the outside like on frame 5.

Frame 5: Decide where the light source is coming from. Because the room is all bright. Is it from the big round lantern above her? If that is the light source you should have a warm color instead of making the room all bright. It could contrast well with the bluish tones of the moonlight. But again, decide where your light source is coming from.

Frame 6 and 7: Now it's confusing. Is she using the light from her cellphone to read? And the colors around her seem to be darker compared to the previous frames. So think about that as well.

Frame 8: In frame 5 her bed is right next to the wall behind her. Now it seems far away from it. And the light from the bug provides perfect opportunity for contrast. Make it pop out by darkening values around her. Also it would be better if the color of the bug's light isn't all white. Add some color to it like a warm color or something.

    Frame 10: I'm not sure what's happening.

So from what I've noticed, there are problems with consistency and lighting. Decide where your lights are and use contrast in colors( warm vs cool).

Keep it up! I like what you're doing.

Dizon: Big thanks for this nice analysis. some of your points were annoying me and didn't fixed (hoping they won't show a lot) them but since you pointed them i tried to fix them.
For the lit romm, it's like already lit (not by the orange spere) but the light is not very bright to let you read. i also wanted to not make her room dark (so we can't see anything)
for the first frame, it's the same insect (made him blue)
for the bed being far from wall. in fact i used 3D to make this curvinlinear perspective grid easier. I made her room with box then, took some render with fish eye camera. The bed is actually correct but the camera made it so distorted it appear far from it.
for the last frame, i just wanted to show the insect that brighten more andd more,(with ray of lights and magic)

don't hesitate to tear thid work down, it will make them better next time.

i need more order in my head...

pick an object in its environment and reform it to make a new thing with the same material and situation

i chose to transform a sport car into a tank (spg), it don't make sense in real life but let's give it a try.

    Dizon - great crits!

zou - Comic's getting better and better! The panels outside seem to be darker than inside though, which seems odd. I like the newer colour palette. Clearly muted because it is night, but still recognizable. My favourite panel is the one where you see the girl from the front, with the bug just lighting up. The panel where the bug is just landing on her book is slightly confusing, I think making the light sources (cellphone versus glowing bug) different colours would help.

I like what you're doing with the car. Seems a little too grey though. Mind that there are some coloured reflections scattered all over the car.

That character looks so familiar. Is he from a Miyazaki film? I love it, man. Looks like you had a lot of fun with that.

Think you did a great job on fixing all sorts of things. Though we may have misunderstood each other earlier.

Recognized Ashitaka straight away because of the iconic hat. You've understood his face rapidly - quite accurate. His hair could use some sharpness, perhaps.
Haven't gotten around doing the SSG study myself- trying to free up some time.

Great gestures. I thought I recognize the reference but I'm also seeing a lot of poses I haven't seen before. Could you mention the source?

Dizon: yes ashitaka. i forgot to mention i chose ashitaka.

Anthis: thanks buddy. for the ref i just discovered more posemaniac photo website
    http://squeedgemonster.deviantart.co...tomy-268755412

Crane: hi take a look at the beginning of the sb you'll be reassured
for the ref, i'm using some posemaniac like website. they are great to warm up try to do some/ link above

i found a nice tool for tweaking the wacom (and any tablet) pressure curve
wacom just released a last driver with pressure curve but it's just crashy !

i'm trying to think wacom is more and more lazy with that intuos 5 that has no real improvements.

Your animations are so cool and funny! And damn you are really diligent with the gestures. I need to get on that.

The looter is looking good--his hair has a lot of personality haha. Maybe play with color balance? I think some temperature changes between light and shadow can give the setting more depth.

Zou: Nah I don't print, I just have a shit ton of ref books and mags, I'm gonna have to get used to it though if I wanna use posemaniacs etc.

What did you mean when you said about proportions? I'm doing Hogarth studies and I can see his anatomy is very defined, I realise that people don't look like that most of the time but with all the muscles popping out like that I can clearly tell where they are and what they are and then plan to bring them down to real proportions when I need too. I believe that worked for Marko, I remember him saying he only drew hogarth and then drew real people from life to understand real proportions.

I didn't do the study this week, I'd already set myself some targets so I'll try make room for the study this week.

How active is this group generally?

    Crit for a crit!

Cool mechs Zou! I like the ones on the left side.

Looking good on the WIP. Although you might wanna make sure our focus is on the character most of the time. Are you going to set this during the night? It would make more sense since he's a thief. And it would give you the chance to play with some artificial lighting for the architecture. Plus it would give it a better mood.

    Kungfoowiz: ok dude

YihyoungLi: thanks, will keep it in mind

    ezekrialase: thanks and welcome.

Crane: about proportions, i mentionned that your studies proportions are exagerated. in academic learning you should stick to real proportions and then go crazy with them.

about the group, it's each one's pace. sometimes, we post nearly daily. others , like 3 day to one week per one post.

hiya zou I'm sorry I've not commented in a while. Your comic is really great! The only crit I was going to give was that it doesn't makes sense in some of the panels until I realised it reads right to left..not used to that here. The story looks really interesting so far, good luck with it.

No crits really, your gestures are great and the mecha designs are really cute. The standout pieces on this page are the girls in your last post, I love the exaggerated perspective.

    tried some 'manga' coloring

working with many layers is really frustrating, but forces you to order things.

Awesome job on those architectural drawings!
Nice colors in your last piece. Something bothers me a bit though, her expressions seems forced. The eyes, they don't have life. Maybe add some highlights?
Other than that, the manga coloring works well. Keep it up!
