    Bacchus Photography first post...

    Hi there.

I'm a professional photographer living and working in London. Most of the work I do is press and corporate photography. I've been a pro for about eight years and now I'm looking to expand my portfolio into different fields which is the main reason for posting.

My other half, who a regular on this site, has been banging on at me for ages to post some of my work.......so here it is.

I'd be interested in your opinions.

Very nice work indeed, great cropping and capturing the ... i guess "message" of a situation through photographs. I especially like the contrast in your black and white photo. Can you tell me if the photograph was manipulated? Or was it just done through bracketing?

Thanks guys for the kind words.

mogando25, the black and white image was a single shot (no bracketing) taken on a Kodak DCS620 digital camera (very out of date these days!). All I did was, grayscale it and adjusted the levels to make it a bit more punchy.

Full photo manipulation is something I'm trying to learn more about......it's one of the reasons I've joined this site.

I'll be posting some more stuff in the next few days.

Your work definitely provides a good example for the most basic, most important principle of photography. Composition. My favorite so far has to be the photograph of wall street. The dutch of the camera and the lighting are just great. You shouldn't have any trouble breaking into other areas of photography.

Guns don't shoot people. Cameras shoot people. And sometimes landscapes and other things.

    Hi there.

    Again thanks for the comments.

Here are a few pix that I thought may work as good reference material for all you artists out there.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. It also isn't my usual style so any comments would be well appreciated.

I was on a job for a client and saw this mass of old car parts and I just had to fire off a few....

Went for a walk through an old part of London with my camera. I liked the textures in the walls of the old factory and in the rusty gate.

    Hope you like....
