    Akuma model WIP

working on a 6-8k model of Akuma. I want to model the Gi, and all his accessories seperate so i he can have different looks. I also wanted to stay away from typical Anime proportions and altho i exagerated this too, its in no way like typial anime proportions u always see like in Falcoons stuff. I will keep posted Wips, hope some of you are inerested. more tomorrow....

That's some pretty cool stuff, bro. When I get home, I'll look at it a bit longer, and maybe offer a few suggestions. Right now, I'd suggest looking over alot more Akuma art for ideas on more details. So far, it's looking great! keep it up!!

Also, I'd suggest looking at the Street Fighter Zero ova (aka Street Fighter Alpha the movie) to sharpen up the details on his face. The face has to be perfect.

yup- but they are screen grabs. The edges are extruded for alphas later when i texture so i can make them all torn up =)

I like this model, itís nice and refreshing seeing a different style on a popular Anime character. If youíre looking for suggestions, I noticed some issues on the wireframe that could help the shape some.
The shoulders where they intersect the chest does not look natural. The shoulder muscle does not come down low enough on the outside of the arm. The construction lines of the forearm in the 3 quarter view do not follow the proper placement of muscles.
I hope you donít mind the few suggestions. The model doesnít need them for sure, it looks real nice. I love the proportions, and it likeness to Akuma.

    Thumbs up

looks pretty good...i suggest that you make his face look meaner coz hes not really one of the good guys...overall, i think you got some skill...the time that you spend on these things is really amazing...

i think the face is a lil too realistic to be gouki's (akuma). i think you should exagerate his smashed nose and chin to match the drawings a lil bit more. other than that, way to use edges to define the figure, good lo-poly model.

really nice work.. but I have to agree with some crits... although its technically good.. Akuma as a character is a little more fierce. Hes overflowing with power and rage that has overcome him. Maybe some stronger, crazier muscle structure. But I cant judge fully until you post the texture work, keep it up!

Hi very cool model, especially the more recents ones with the clothing. Nice how u modeled the hair.

    A few suggestion though:
The topology is not ideal imo, it doesn't have enough edge loops at the areas where he will deform the most. And a lot of triangles. But I'm not sure because I don't have experience doing low poly models.

But I guess this is a low poly game model? Will you be animating this?

About the character himself: very well executed, looks a lot like him, but I think you could make him look more evil. I don't know if ur going to stick to the original Akuma design, otherwise you could make his trapezuis larger (going higher) to give him a stronger impression.
