Finally decided to put up my own sketchbook, after 16 months as a member....
The main reason I haven't put one up yet is because I'm too lazy to scan my sketchbook and I didn't think my stuff was 'worthy' enough of posting. If I want some advice from people who know what the hell they are talking, this is the right place! After all, I want to improve and getting advice (and actually listening to it!) is the way. I'll try to scan and upload most of my stuff in my sketchbook, even though that could take a while and most of the stuff are just quick scribbles. Thank you for your time and bandwidth!
Some are overlit and badly scanned...my scanner hates me...
New stuff at bottom of course

First I'll post the stuff already uploaded to my photobucketaccount. I'll try to post the earliest ones first, so you can detect any progres...ahum...
^Those were pretty crap, if I say so myself...Nowadays I'm using traditional media, pencil and watercolours mostly. Anyways...
That about covers it concerning photoshopjobs.
Whew, how many bodies is that son, keep workin at it. Hendrix is cool.
Some oldies I just uploaded (poor scanning quality, I had an older scanner then):
And now for the most recent ones...
PHEW! Finally I'm done uploading....for now...
Last two are with reference from 'Anatomy for the artist'.
I am planning to do more anatomystudies from that book, and ofcourse post them
Thank you for your time..
Yippie! Today is my birthday and I got a set of acrylics! I never used it before but will be experimenting with it soon, and post it ofcourse. I hope I will get some advice on using acrylics.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN
ur stuff is coming a long really great O,,o duno.. i love ur style
these pirate sketches very c00l
i made some crapy lil tuts about heads and stuff.. may this help u a bit or ..
shows how i proceed when i draw heads.. or head studies
if u got some questions.. just pm me
how old are u now ?
Thank you for your reply. I'm twenty years old now... . So...am I doing bad or good for someone who's 20..?
Here it is... my first piece in acrylics eva!
And here a sketch and some doodles...
ur doing very good O_o
iam 23 now.. .. 3 years ago i was so fukin misserable at drawing.. i was so fukin noob wuahaha i was just unable to draw like u can draw now
so.. you are doing very very very g00d O_o
thee lil tiny figure posture drawings are nice ..do more of them
when u get probs with alligning arms and legs.. draw them as easy geometrie first : cylinders.. allign cylinder and then allign the muscles and stuff inside the cylinder ,, its much easier to start simple and then adding more details
iam doing lotsa simple studies like this.. atm iam drawing more then 250 chin and jaw shapes per paper sheet to train my hand .. cylinder studies will come next.. to train my hand to perfeorm more smooth movement.. and.. usual i draw from left to right..this time i train my hand to draw good from right to left.. its diffrent movement performt with the wrist..just a matter of habituation but.. for me its a good training.. i just can recommend it but.. u need to be patient
keep drawing.. more and more and m000re O_o *eats the strawberry.. thx *yummy*
Thanks sideshowbob for your comments. I think I need to do some exercises for smoother drawing as well, that's why I like to make those little sketches with ink. I have another acrylics piece....
Yeeehaaww...somebody stop meehh..!
I changed the previous watercolour-piece...
A new acrylics piece
Very good plants and animals!
I was going to suggest studying anatomy and figure drawings, but you seem to be doing that! Really amazed at the jump from the first few bodies to the last few! Either way, keep drawing from life and studying the old anatomy book!
Great job, man! Post some of your newer stuff and some figures and such! Love to see it.
Some quick random stuff...i had little time (and willingness) to make something...
I'll try to do something in acrylics with the last one...or maybe not...
What is wrong with the female anatomy study? Breasts too high? Upper leg too large?
By the way, it was drawn without the lines, I added them later to see if I could draw an anatomically correct figure without them.

I like your acrylics, very clean and bright colors. There sure is some progress in your drawings, i like the watercolors too (especially herfst.jpg)
pitty noone saved our OC Session ;-)
see you around, keep posting
btw, cant see your last pic
we will save tha next oc sessoin
nice acrylic desert .. i need some vacations haha
I just can't seem to get some quality stuff on paper for the last few weeks.
Here are some more sketches..
And I HATE my cheap low-quality crayons!!!! (I don't even have a brown crayon )
A portrait of a friend of mine. Then quickly coloured in Painter, just to experiment, nothing seriously.
I've done something with charcoal. I'm not really happy with the result. Cruise's eyes are weird, the girl's head's too small, Milano's left eye is all slant, and Clooney's right eye is..just... I don't know, but it's not right. I still have a lot to learn
Last edited by jermainevl; May 25th, 2005 at 04:07 PM.
The last drawings show a definite likeness to their subjects, Milano's construction lines are off and (tom's) left eye it placed too high, practicing head contruction can help with these problems. I'd recommend checking out "drawing the head and hands" over at saveloomis.org . You have some good stuff going on, you just need to practice anatomy more often
Some more sketches and studies... oldies! (2003)

I like your Animals very much
Your drawings look overal very solid to me was I feel you do lack is practice on eyes. Do some more of the eyestudies you did in your last update. It'll do you good!
Yes, I definately need practice on the eyes. Thanks for your comment .
Clear! *zzzzrpp* It's alive! Alive!
...though not without setbacks: forget about the lack of previous images; I messed around in my photobucketaccount so the links aren't correct anymore. And I'm too lazy to care.
