    Here's my WIP.

I'm needing some help on my negligable photoshop techniques. There are a number of things i'm not so sure about. One: Using textures. I can't seem to get it so the textures make the pic looke extremely flat. Two: This may seem like a stupid question...but i constantly see really smooth shading in good pieces. Is this simply a product of large amounts of time and hard work, or is there some special technique in photoshop that I could use? I've been trying to get smoother shading with the smudge tool, but from what i've seen the smudge tool is abused far too much. Anyway, rip it up as much as you like, i'm open to any crits.

I like it... Id like to see more color... post some more stuff...
I embrace my desire to feel the rhythm, to feel connected, enough to step aside and, weep like a widow, to feel inspired, to fathom the power, to witness the beauty, to bathe in the fountain, to swing on the spiral, to swing on the spiral of our divinity and still be a human...
