COW #327 - Tiny Sparkling Life Giver
Concept: Lazarus Fruitscorpion
Life giving insect discovered in Borneo.
A small amphibious creature that seems to harness the secret to eternal life was recently discovered in the depth of the Borneo Rainforest.
Still waiting for a scientific name, the Lazarus Fruitscorpion produces a serum that miraculously restores life when injected into a newly deceased human.
The fruitscorpion lives solely from eating fruit from the Tarap tree, and use their flexible tails to stab the ripe fruits before they digest them. To date it is unknown why they do it, since it seems to have little effects on the fruits.
The active substances of the serum deteriorate in seconds outside the fruitscorpion’s body, so the only way to use its powers is by having it stab the patient. Scientists have still not managed to get an active sample of the serum to analyze the components, and they are raising a stern warning that the serum should under no circumstances be used on human subjects until it has undergone a very extensive testing period! Despite this, reports of resurrections are appearing from all over the world.
As a result, Borneo has been target to a full blown invasion, where explorers ranging from official government envoys and scientific expeditions to guerillas, poachers and gold diggers are pouring into the jungle from all directions.

Any creature or person knows to fear the land shark, though very few ever get the change to tell stories of encountering one because their usually one of the last things people ever see.

COW #331 - Alien Mud Monster
winner: Bobby Rebholz
The Gorabola, a menacing carnivore living deep within the swamps of the newly discovered planet Zetta8116. This creature can blend in perfectly with the marshlands, much like the Crocodile and Alligator we're used to seeing on Earth. The Gorabola, however, gains it's mental strength from mud. It's body is covered with many small pore-like openings that suck in water and mud. It's digestive system still needs meat. The two systems working together make this a spectacular yet ferocious monster.

COW #335 - Radioactive Dinosaur
Concept: Radioactive Therizinosaurus
A pack of flesh eating Therizinosaurs for a time, dominated the dinosaur food-chain. Owing to the fact that their bodies were highly toxic and caused their DNA to mutate regularly, these creatures were able to adapt to any environmental factor while no predator dared to attack them for fear of a painful toxic death.
It is presumed that they harbored a bacterium in their gut which produced radioactive substances.

COW #338 - Spirit of Winter
winners (tie): warburton/seksi
Concept: Spirit of Winter by warburton
A creature which is so rarely seen it is widely believed to only exist in folk lore and child stories. Many describe seeing this creature late at night on very cold evenings. Because of the nature of the creature and its brilliant white aura many believe that to even see this creature one must meet very specific requirements involving sleep deprivation, days without food and spending days in pitch black environments. Only then, if you are deemed worthy will you witness this beast. Its also seen as good luck to cross paths with this majestic creature.
Concept: The Spirit of Winter by seksi
With the body of a giant three tailed fox, the head of a winter bird, and the front legs reminiscent of a caribou, this elusive creature has the power to summon snow and ice in his wake. He can command sudden blizzards with the touch of a hoof. The spirit's power is strongest on water and is frequently crossing bodies of water shrouded within a snow storm. Usually only evidence of his power is found in the form of giant ice crystals.

COW #339 - Ice Bug
winner: Rob Powell
Concept: Frostbite Mosquito
These small insects are most common in the winter, though they are known to very few people as they are fairly hard to spot, and those that do see them will most likely mistake them for snowflakes. Like other mosquitoes the females will seek blood from warm blooded animals. Their bites will leave the skin ice cold sometimes causing literal frostbites.

COW #340 - The Christmas Dragon
Concept: Bellaria Chompus
The jolly and fluffy "teddy drakes" come out during Christmas time to prey on their favorite food: the sugary candy salmons. The drakes find a sweet spot and catch any salmon that comes close enough as they try to make it to the moon to spawn. The salmons' migration lasts for about a week and during this Christmas time children often visit the cliffs the drakes sit on to pet their favorite animals and maybe get a taste of the sweet, sweet salmons.
