First of all - inspiring work! - you've got an amazing gift!
Second - I saw the picture of you painting (this last painting)... The painting is so small! How in the heck did you paint the eyes, nostrils, etc without going blind! How tiny are those brushes? I just am in awe of this! I was already impressed with your gifts, but to do it that small??? Holy crap! My hats off to you!

    Hey Emily!

It was nice to meet you before the workshop, yay for Mt. Victoria! I can't wait to go on that swing again. Seeing your painting in person was even more humbling than it was online. Thank you for taking it to New Zealand!

Hi guys, I have a few pics for you.

This is a peek at the painting I am currently working on. It is much bigger than the last one!

    Name: CRW_6330.jpg
Views: 2337
Size: 250.3 KB

The surface I am working on is from www.newtraditionsartpanels.com
They do an awesome job on their panels. The one I have is very fine linen mounted on thick foam core.

Bill designed an easel attachment for me and I helped him put it together.
I have overlaid red over the part that is the attachment.

    Name: CRW_6384red.jpg
Views: 2328
Size: 273.6 KB

The purpose of the attachment is to bring the painting closer to me and allow room for my legs underneath. The crossbars extending upwards are to accommodate larger paintings.

The easel is an older English design that Bill ordered from the UK many years ago. It is a double-sided easel, so you can work from either side. The part that sticks out from the back is where you can put another painting and the angle can be adjusted.

Super awesome paint! Your studio is so clean....no paint splashes on the floor (it looks good enough to eat off) and not a drop of paint on you....I get paint on me in the 1st 5 secs....just found a spot of paint on me now...
Keep up the good work and dont be so skimpy on the updates would love to see some steps in between!

Your new painting looks like it's come a long way already! Did you start on it before leaving to NZ?

I agree with GorillaArtfare, that studio looks cozy. Really comfortable. It could have something to do with the colour choices for the walls. Is it really warm inside?
