    Sheridan's SoftD SketchB (Semester1)

Just a few pages of my "Journal" for school...we required to do so.

But i always get to pull some of my own weirdness in it and thats a bit of it.. (so all the writing stuff isnt gonna show up here..no one wants to read right.)

I'll post more when i find the force to go to school and use the horrible scanners.. horrible i tell ya. Oh and im in animation just for the sake of knowing.

i think one of them is gouache.. or two. The animals are from Winter Fair (For the folks from Ontario or Sher.)...and the rest is just kinda non-sens typathing.

heh.. and yeah theres way more actualy, i just dont feel like scanning the entire thing right now...its awefully too late and i need rest.

Cool stuff dude! I've never actually caught your sketchbooks before....we should really do this in school more often...all these sketch meets.

    How's semester 2 coming along?

That is some pretty trippy stuff. Fantastic sketches.

But the fingers on the left hand of the black guy with the afro and horns with a pencil for a leg that's falling off a miniature elephant who's holding a spear and ringing a bell that's calling the giraffe coming out of a hole from a piano that's being played by a soldier with treads for legs seem kinda small......yeah... this is the sketch I was talking about. I almost feel like saying I'm on drugs while looking through your work LOL

More man.... I need another fix...

Ok, I'm done posting... Back to drawin'!

Amazing stuff, I absolutely love your distortions, a mix between surrealism and a caricature. Amazing!!

OMG, these pages feel like a very disturbing surreal weird dream. I love it. Your so creative and full of ideas. So inspirational. All your pages are full of energy, I think that if you won't put something on paper for several hours you would explode.

Hah, thanks everybody for the comments..

I'm sorry if most of these are missing parts of the design...it's just sketches and I don't like spending too much time on doodlers.

I'll post more once i get the time.. school is a drag.

As for the way they look.. well i start off with a line and i draw what i think, my thoughts, memories etc.. it's like takign a walk into my brain and not knowing what's next i guess. It's fun, and there's unlimited alternatives to creation. (i also like to put some music on.. it gets very unreal some times.)

tight sketchbook. it's looking more like an interpretive illustration sketchbook, lots of oddball creativity, detail and expression (not that animation is devoid of these, the style is just saying 'illustration' to me)... but then there's also a lot of life to the drawings.

i'm a second year tech illustrator at sheridan... won't you be my neighbour?

    nice stuff, keep at it.

This stuff rules. It's kinda quirky which I like. This is a journal? What are you supposed to right about, I'd be interestied in reading it.

JProvost - emm, i dont think im your neighboor, .. i live with a family. and yeah most people say that too when they look at my sketchbook. Its just the way i like to draw on my spare.

Sanby - Hey, well actualy i only posted a few pages... and theyre mainly just illustrations... in that same sketchbook i have animation studies and all sorts but i felt like people wanted to see the pretty stuff. And i dunno, the whole writing part is more of a personal thing.. hehe.

Syro / reak / icey.. thanks fellows, happy you get inspired and enjoy this. Ill make sure to post more once i have some spare time. (hope you understand)

EDIT !! : My backpack got stolen.. gotta say bye bye to the sketchbook. Ill post when im done filling up a brand new one.
