    Hey, Amir!!

Been a while. Good studies, man. How's summer?

I did the same Loomis studies you did yesterday haha, nice.

The forms and looser and more proportioned, man. Good work, keep it up! I'll check back in soon.

    Haha, revived this old thing.

Man, you've gotta clean your room, almost as messy as mine!
The character you're designing is showing more improvement, could still use more details to bring out the personality though!

Hey dude, these last couple of value studies are amazing! The value turned out reealy well!
This one (http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/6964/scan00336tq.jpg) is my favorite, especially with the subtle shading on the folds of the shirt!

    Nice work,
you're like a scetch factory. That's cool. Like those you did with pen (or ink?).
Cuz its got much contrast to it (which in turn emphasizes your good linework).
Have you tried doing scetches in color though?
Just grab some watercolour paper and start drawing with some brush (without prescetching) That sort of stuff has been fun to me. So just as an Idea. Might work out for you too...

    Cheers.

blacky- oh ya, i love doing with ink,, its so much fun, and its soo good, makes u concentrate on ur line qualities and values better.
,, well, i dont like watercolours, or oil :/ but i think for the sake of it, i have to do onee at least.

SirGreenSock- LIFE drwaing sessions cominnn upPP

Ok,, first of all my scanner suckssss. , then crayons doesnt scan very well, so i have to darken the scans abit, which lower the quality,,

But, btw all my work till now. i liked these 15 mins crayons the most.. like i felt im DOING STH.

and for sure, me and greensock will go there, every week, pretty much twice a week.. YAY

stole some markerss from GreenSock :p

I think you have really improved, and the practice has really shown...keep it going, keep studying what works [for you]. It's a difficult thing to draw the human figure, and even harder from imagination!!

I think though you may be trying too hard with your imaginative stuff...they don't feel loose and this may lead to the difference in pencil stroke and quality of line I notice between your 'traditional' life studies. Your proporations on the studies are great, and your quality of line is also working...however you seem to just lose that with the more imaginative stuff.

A book which may help is 'drawing cutting edge anatamy' by Christopher Hart. It's not too in depth but is concerned quality of line, which I think is important when drawing. Also check out 'Glenn Vilppu' [obviously if you haven't already]. He begins with gesture and works through form and then proportion. He WILL help you tremendously.

There are rules you can follow when drawing the figure...and the more of these little rules you learn the easier and less worrying it becomes. Things like distances between features...how muscles stretch...how to draw the head so-on...they ease up the drawing because they provide a solid foundation and blueprint to follow everytime, which becomes second nature and takes out that horrid feeling of proportions not working...etc!

    Anyway hope this helps.

I strongly recommend you keep drawing and drawing because I think you're starting to get the hang of it and you've come a long way.

    Good work
