Hehe, good ol' Raziel up there at the top. I was always envious of his concept as a character and as an art piece, wish I could think of that stuff. I'm glad to see where you are heading here. Don't make the mistake I made and worry about realism before you worry about form (check my link to see what I mean). Keep up the body studies, with such progression, you can make it somewhere.

ëverybody mentions anatomy ... bla bla, i see that you need to practise it more but i guess you are allready doing it, so my suggestion would be to try to give the things you draw as much form as possible (form/value wise) when you shade it... pic a lightsource and render it from that.. try to "see" how the different parts go in or out of depth... if i have a lightsorce facing me and i pull my arm back, what will that look like ? etc etc..

have fun drawing, after all, its the most important thing, FUN !

cheers and ill drop by again !

    ps. draw draw draw

EDIT : oh, nice update, a improvement from the previous, mayebe pick stuff in your surroundings and render it for a long time, try to draw every little change in value... might help

    Hey ya'll,
i wanted to start doing ANatomy,, but i got a cold, so im kindda angry,, and i have a damn headache that wont let me do anyhting.

these are just some drawings i did today morning. The mannikin is helping at last. If i do like 10 of em, or more everyday, the undrestanding of figures, and anatomy will be easier for me.

    * the star ones- i didnt use any reference, damn, if i didnt have the headache i would have make a full page of em.

Oh, by the way, i think im getting better in lines. Using less earaser. ANd i didnt use any ruler since last week.

My gosh,, gotta get some rest, the light of Monitor is killing me...
oh, and sorry about da size, i didnt have time to resize it in Photoshop,, i recently figured,,sths freaky is wrong with my scanner, the scaned page is so light, and its kindda dim,
    whatever,,,
    peace out, :sneeze: :sneeze:

keep up the great work man, im seeing a lot of improvements..only thing i can see is that your focused so much on anatomy...try to mix it up....throw that imagination at the anatomy....your throwing in some curve ballz which is cool...that girl hehe...all that matters is that your practicing constantly....im failing myself by not practicing each day...you keep it up like this...you're going to be happy....keep it up

    Unhappy

    'Sup CA artists.

    Hey ya'll. :bigsneeze: i got a cold

i was sick in these 2 days, and i had planned to get some anatomy done, but the headache didnt let me do anyting, and i have to study for my Exam tomorrow. So, hope, i'll get some free time between these, and Hopefully i'll get better by teusday, and start drawing ASAP.
I was resting in the bed, i though lets try see what i can draw.

Draw some suff, i felt great that time, it was really exciting.

oh, by the way, im getting pretty good in the lines each day, i dunno wheather u can see or not, but i feel it. I dont use ruler anymore, and less earaser. ANd i learnd many more stuff about the movements, and the passion of drawing.

fighting with my self to keep drawing, but at the end, i fall sleep.

some thoughts,, just brought them to the paper,,

some movements i had their picture in mind.

    C&Cs are welcome :sneeze:.....

You think you were sick? I have been vomiting on a regular basis, it seems I've got a stomach infection.

Ok with your most recent update, I am noticing some of them seem off balance. When the hip is tilted usually the shoulders tilt in the opposite direction to act as a counter balance. Apart from that they are looking good.

    Too much matrix for you.

Really nice and interesting stuff you have there, great to look at!
I am not a big fan of observational drawing (or what the heck this ís called) I mean.. doing it myself, looking at it is another thing ever tried some heavy comical stuff, or perspecitves, also with a bit disorted effects?
    Keep on!

Very nice start, you are starting grasp the human form. Try doing more anatomical studies (loomis and bridgeman are two great artists to look up) and less from your head. Once you are able to accurately grasp the body then you can go crazy! :-)

    Keep up the good work.

I really appreciate the support you've been giving me, Amir.

And it seems in under two months of drawing you are going to surpass the skills I have earned over 10+ years (*cries*). Ah, but this is not about me; I really am happy for your progress. I hope you become very good very soon, you certainly have a great attitude!

I have a question though, are you posting everything you are doing or just select piecies? What things are you doing besides what we are seeing?

Also what made you want to learn how to draw? How old are you? Are you going to go to art school?

Bye, keep up the good work-I hope it all pays off for you!

Hey there! Thanks for checking out my sketches and commenting. You're last update shows a lot of progress. Have you done any bone or muscle studies? I'm planning on doing that myself.

Anyway, keep it up! Post more!

    Red face

IanE- Thx dude, for keeping up with me.
I've beathen cold and fever. i think i can beat anything now.
New sketches are coming on Prespective, anatomy, figures, Balance.

    Referenecs:
Books: Hogarth, Burne. Bridgman George, loomies Andrew. Simblet Sarah So many more books, like photographies and stuff.

tweak_hp- Dude, thx for checking out my sketches,, i've got to work more,, practise more,,, DRAW< DRAW< DRAW. haha..
I wont post anymore for your sketches till u start drawing,, U want to be a good artist, DRAW,,, AAAAAAAAA

Lizkay- hey,, thx for stopping by, i dont like to draw disorted,, but u know , i had a fever, and it was kindda fun though.
    thx for motivating me.

TPhilipT- Hey man, dude, thx for your good and kind altitude. I've got to start drawing more, and more.
Thx for stopping by man,, come here more often

    mos667-Yes SIr.
hey man,, thx for stopping by,, I'll get crackin ASAP. I jsut needed the books,, i'ev already booked,, but each time sth strange happens.
    Thx for viewing my sketchbook.

    sideshowbob- Whats up dude?

I got whach u said about measuring, i already started reading the measuring in drawing.
what? i jsut want to touch,, its drawing for now. Its long way to come to real, hahahaa

ur sketches are great man, keep up your good concepts.

NobodyYouWouldKnow- Hey , great to see u here.
Thx for checking out my sketchbook,

( I think this is much enough information about me u can find: )

Yes i do post everything i draw everyday. But jsut sometimes, jut somtimes, when i do some roughes at school when im bored,, i just do em for my self.
Well i want to do Life-drawing,, but as u can see i started from fabtact at the beginning and as u can see My great friend SoftDrawer, told me im in the wrong path. So, i looked for the beginning of the path,, the place i've got to start.

I started by some anatomies , not great though,, then, i started to practise for my lines,, i didnt know anything of em. I practiced them as i did some simplifies manequines. So i got an idea how did the human block is, and to study the human antomy more clearny. ANd of course i did some studies on movements too, which were my favs.

Now, im starting a real business. drawing the anatomy, human block, and want to start prespectives.
redcently i got good sketchbook. And i plan to start drawing seriously.

Well, i want to get into 3D Animation, so i've got to know all conceots of Life-Drawings. I got to have a good 2D skill background.
Im 18. I started drawing from DEC 2004, i never draw before, even in elementart school, i didnt draw that much, i used to think i dont have any talent.
No, i dont go to any Art coleges,, or i dont ever took any art courses during my education till now. Well, thats really bad. . I mean,, i should have tried drawing before. Aaaa, well, im starting now, will FULL SPEED. haha. ANd ive got so many teachers now, in CA.

Thank u all, who help me, motivate me, and are with me step by step.

startraveller- hey , your drwaings are awsome . I like your self portrating so much. They are great. yes, i want to get stated some bone and muscles. well i did some before,, but,, aa that wasnt enough, ,that was nothing. the real stuff are coming up before Spring.

    thx for checking my sketches.

TO ALL: I got a big sketchbook, and i cant anymore scan my stuff. So, i plan to do at least 20 or 30 pages. Then i'll scan it somewhere, and psot it all.

Till then, plz stop making me Blush. Thx for the kind words. THANK YOU ALL.
DOnt post anyhting else, let my thread go to the bottom, and see when sill it come up again. But be alarmed. Hahaaa.

Although, u can post and tell me what u think, or give me ideas on the places i've got to work more.

    See u xx/xx/05, haha

Again I compliment you on your positive attitude-I really do hope you can achieve your goals. Your confidence that the work you are doing will help you is a quality I envy.

I hope you post more images soon and get a lot better. I like to see others improve even if I can't...

My advice would be to forget about being "creative" for now... Just build up your technical skills-that is what is really important. This is a craft! Thanks again for your undying support of my pathetic efforts (and putting up with my constant pessimism and negativity )

    Talking New Studies........wooho

    Hey yall,

Ok, this week was a horrible week for me somehow and a good week too.
Bad because i got some marks back, not was i expected, very low. Good because i got some good marks like 90s and 100s.

Well i talked to my Art teacher, and ask her weather i can get into Life Drawing for grade 12 somehow, she said, no u cant, but u can go to grade 11, she didnt even looked at my sketches attentively. Well, i was kindda pissed off, i knew i wasnt good. but she could jsut give me some feedback, or even respect that the hell these were drawings, not blank papers that u would pass 35 pages in 10 seconds.

Well damn them, our school's art teachers are crap, they jsut like to do paintings.

So, i was thinking about to take Semester school, because The school im in now, is the best school in Ontario, but its uses terms, not semesters.

SO i was thinking about to do my final year , the grade 12, in a semester school. I've got to talk to my advisors though, by they wont help, they are stupid. Lol .
I've planned to take Art11 in 1st sem, and Art 12 in the 2nd sem. Oh, the other reason i want to change my school is that. Ive got to take 6 courses for grade 12, like, if u've got 25(like i will haev 25 by the end of grade 11) courses by the end of grade 11, u cant take 5 courses in grade 12, U MUST TAKE 6 COURSES. SO i was thinkin that it maybe different in semester school, and i dot got to take some extra course for nonsence.
I've got to do some reseach about it , and talk to my consolers. But i wanted to tell u guys, thought maybe someone can help.
Oh, by the way, The collage i want to get into. The requirements are:

So anyways i did these studies last week. As i told u i couldnt post it sooner, cause i had to take the pictures, and i had no battery so i got the batteries today. Woohoo.

I did these studies, and i learnt alot from them, now i need to use them, like to draw the different poses, and analyse what i leart in the drwaings i will do.
But i've got no reference. i though i'll do some from memory, i already did some, but ehh, that wasnt helpfull. I asked some great artist here, they told me to get some Dance books, and posefiles. So, i'll probably got to get some books from library.
If anyone has some topics in head , or even some books u know, plz let me know, i really do need to get some books, and draw. When i do that drawing will be alittle easier for me, drawing the lines will be easier , then i can say ok, i can use my imagination now.

Well, nothing is better to see the sketches in real, i really dont like taking the photo or scanning, it lowers the quality, well, maybe its because i have low quality scanner. But anyway. This is it.

dont forget to look at the timings i did. I rounded off the seconds,
    Have FUn

(Click on the pics to enlarge)

Some Prespective studies, drawings from head. (No reference)

im using less earaser Now,, E= Earaser

And the last one i like the most.

    C&C Needs the most .
what should i draw next, did i choose the rit planning. Or do i got to do somehting else.

Wow, now that is what I call an artist,

Someone who works very hard to only get better

and from looking at your first posts and your recent ones Its obvious you are getting much better

The art teacher didnt even want to look a your sketches? Forget that person, heh, there are many people like that, you will encounter harder people like that in College so always be prepared.(and after college)

I once remember an art teacher from my school saying my work was pretty much crap, well... she didnt say crap but it was no different.

You really are trying hard and I personally hope you will continue this

If you want resources just get some magazines, They really help

Ive never used an Art book before or any lessons, so I wont be able to give you any reccomandations

    Just keep posting
