    Nick,
Yes I'm taking it again. This is what... the third time?
Most classes I never have any desire to take more then
once. There is something really great about the classroom
environment she creates. She is also very open to my
experimentation and still is able to give good critiques
even when I take a painting in a strange direction.

    More quick refeence sketches...

gestures from draw magazine and an old character I'm playing with

more sketches from Meglia's superman/tarzan and random marker studies

    I see you, Mermuse.

I don't update my sketchbook AT ALL.
But, seeing you over here improving and shit,
and back at the Life Painting Thread gave me a little jolt.

    That's what it's about.

I might check you out at a drawing club session next week or so.

    Keep burning pencils.

I really enjoy drawing his hands...
he has short blocky fingers that read really well.

I want a drawing club too!!! lol As always, very lovely stuff to look at. I aways admire someone who can keep their art looking so fluid. It just flows out of you! Mine's more like a jittery spray. lol I'm hopin' that one day that bottle of drawing draino finds my fingers. Keep up the good work!

sketch and painting from last night...

I was experimenting with a new type of oil primed
linen so I spent too much time just getting used to
the new surface and not enough time seriously painting.

I'm trying to get used to doing marker sketches in color...

    MerMuse Sketchbook

these are sketches from Robin comic. I like how the shadow
shapes transition from hard to soft edges.
