Ok, so Ive decided that I want to go to college near my Fiance, shes going to St Louis University. But I still want to go to a good art school for 3d modeling/ animation. Well theres like 4-5 Good unviersities, Art Institute Illionois, Defiance University, 3 in Chicago (forget the names) not huge art schools but liberal arts colleges with decent 3d animation/ modelling programs.. All of which are about 5 hours away from her.
Theres only one college closer then those; its ITT Technical Institue in Arnold MO. ONly 20 minutes from her.
Their website says they offer exactly what I want, 3d modeling and animation... But... From what i hear from friends, mixed reports of students, as well as my own prejeduce against schools advertized on the TV (When I see comercials for school I think fly-by-night hell holes) its not the best school in the world.
Am I wrong? Or is it a good school for me? Obviously if I go there im gonna go abck to college, probably later in life for more broad education (my passions in writing, and Christian studies being those things) But form I see of liberal art colleges, 3d animation/modeling is so new (last 10 years or so) that it still isnt in the more prestigous universities or liberal arts colleges.
I couldnt go to a college that offers good religious studies majors, or writing majors, and get a good degree in computer graphics; am I right on this, or am I missing somthing?
So, bottom line... ITT = Bad, or Good?
