I think I am going to keel over and die. HOw many years have you been doing this? What are they paying you. I cant take in the amazingness of it all. Killer stuff.

thanks a lot for the helpful critiques and blessings... great to get some good feedback like this!!
I decided that I have to catch up on caricatures. So I am gonna pick my favorite movie stars for upcoming exercise...
Don't know if this one of Udo Kier is a caricature or rather a portrait. It was fun doing it anyways...

Good likeness, I think it like ninety percent there, but theres something that is
its not clicking for me, I think its the eyebrows shapes, look at this pic of him
and you ill see what I mean:

    http://www.stephan-rabold.com/img/438_kier2.jpg

but I like both the intensity of his eyes and the hightlights of the
driping blood, I really like your form modeling.
Thanks for sharing, Im starting to do caricatures too, and its dam hard!!

Keep the goods coming your one hell of an inspiration!

    Hey max,
Thanks for the critique. This morning I came back to the image and didn't like it anymore either... Its not really the eyebrows that bug me but the hair. especially where it hits the head... gotta work on that part...
I'm excited to see your caricatures, man...

    shyamshriram,
Either you are sarcastic or the most humble man on this forum. Your work is kicking ass, man! I love to walk through your sketchbook. The vector drawing on gfxartist is sick....

I´m not sure, if you still need crits on the movie scene concept...
I´d suggest that you push the hierarchy with the values a bit more. Like: Let the family be the lightest part and the background very dark and menacing. The knight pop out by either making him lighter than the background or give him extreme light/dark contrast.

And Udo looks really sick as he should be!

Ich habe eine Zeit lang auch Architektur studiert, habe dann aber auf Publizistik umgesattelt, mit Schwerpunkt Werbung & Film. Tja.... und momentan... freelancen was das Zeug hält.

thanks for the feedback again. unfortunately that movie project is back in the fridge again - as so many are in vienna... your definately right, johnny. it was too flat so far. maybe the project comes up again one day...
Here is one I am working on right now for a friend. Its called ROTZGOTT (engl. god of snot). He will get a feather in his tissue-hand and snot coming out of the nose onto the belly and everywhere...
    What do you think?

Hello, lewiston, this ROTZGOTT dude is much more alive than most people in everyday life. He looks like he is living somewhere in our world, OK maybe parallel world and has a very interesting for psycho-pathologist flaws in personality. Well, yeah, mania of grandiosity at least . I wonder what he sees in mirror, certainly something different from me.
Great personality, a pose, expression of his face, texture of silk, details. Thank you son much

nice stuff really like the look of the comic, the last two portraits are great, the army guy looks a little like Reagan.

The mother with the kids reminds me of the opening of a Conan movie, or something like that, looks good, although the dark night seems to be walking his horse towards them.

The purple snot god is beautiful in a mischievous looking kinda way, BTW I'm sure he's paying me a visit at the moment, my head is so full of crap.
p.s is it me or is his belly button too far round to his left?

Great new set of pics. I'm a huge fan. Like the bright rendering on Froggy Xmas. One small crit is that the general's elbow looks like it's too high, he doesn't have much upper arm length.
