Thanks everybody for the comments in my book.

schlichte: Thanks for the nice compliment. I adore Lorrain...

Ignominious:Thank you. I made an effort to avoid a too photoshoppy look,

although it is entirely done in PS...

JesArt: Love to do so. If you are ever around Vienna gimme a note!

jenzi: Great association! Didn't think of that, but totally agree!! thanks...

Flaskpost: Glad you like it. In fact these vector images are actually usual PS pains

Chupacabra: Danke Mann... Lasse mich oft genug von Deinen tollen Bildern inspirieren! ride on!!

Brendan: It is an honour. I visited your website and was struck. The work you are doing is where I actually want to develop towards... The compliment means a lot to me, especially as I had to convince you over several pages. Thanks.

Dynamike: Oh if I ever had the time to do so, a graphic novel would be the first on my wishlist... Hardly ever would pay my rent though...
The director is fantastic btw, the best client I ever worked with!
    Cheers for the motivation though!

Here some charcters and a moodboard for a project I had been working on and off for quite a while now. As you can probably observe it is kind of painted 'dead', what so often happens when I was sitting too long on something.
Anyways, a few spots here and there I like, so I want to share it with you...
two more moodboards to go, and that thing will be off my back...
    Please feel free to bash!

I was going to comment on the overworked thing in some of the pieces, but then I saw you already said so yourself. Especially the last one, the big scene, suffers from it as some elements ask more attention than others simply because they look more finished. That said, I like all of them. The character idea in the first one makes for a lot of ideas to come to my mind what he can actually do with that glove and walking stick

Very nice work, hope you post more of these.

Actually I wouldn't call the characters overworked. Some of them could even use a bit more attention. I see some stiffnes in the last one, the scene looks a bit like collage of characters, each one looks fine on its own but they don't look good as a whole. Like you worked on each of them separately.

The guy in white outfit has weird feet - the one the left is too small and the leg on the right is too long or the left one too short.

That last image is wonderful, you've really captured the feeling of the environment well because the lighting you've used is spot on.

Hi everyone, thanks for the notes you left. Great to have so many fine artists thinking about your work...

Grump!: thanks. great it had that effect on you - here are some more...

Diskoskull: thanks for the props. The last one is actually the one I like the least - funny though...

yoitisi: Nice to see we're on the same page there - i just kindof drew them 'dead', I guess. Glad you appreciate the first character - its my favorite of these too.. Thanks for the comment!

thirdeye: I fully agree on the last one. With 'overworked' I meant lifeless. I think the fact that the characters are without connection, rather collaged as you say, contributes to that flaw...
I'm not sure if I agree with the note on the white guys feet.. Thanks for taking a closer look at my stuff!

    RandAlThor: will sure do! cheers...

Kian: I'm flattered - big fan of your environments!

Here's a little update on this other project I'm working on right now...
    Excited on your feedback again!

Wow, I really like the lighting and the colors you used in the last post.

I like how these still look awesome without a whole lot of fine detail and painting.

Awesome images.. One can almost smell the environment. Some really neat and original ideas too, such as the reptile thingie with a mouth by the belly. Cool!

post 316 is awesome. simply put. the combination of pencils over the lighting and coloring of digital is something I've always wanted to do but never known HOW TO?! Do you have any tips on what your process was? Looks really, really cool.

are all kinds of cool, hell i wanna be able to get the
mood of my scenes to look like this, much respect to you!

    das buch is krassss!

you have a wide range of subjects and your great in every field doing them . also i love how great you can capture mood in perspectives. and the rendering on this one is adorable
    http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4006/85844698zb2.jpg

last doodle has a bit too much textures for my taste , but if you´ll render this out in the next process this will be great . also maybe give the womans face a fitting expression, an expression a woman would do beeing licke dy devils ... and smooth the face structure maybe , less depth and wrinkles but that is just my taste. anyways i would love if i coudl " doodle" like taht digitally.

however, high faive man can´t wait for the next updates!

Alex, great input to the last one, thanks! I'll definately rework her facial expressions...
anyways - here some more updates to these.. I feel like making a serie of DSA preists of this (a german rollplay game I once played). The woman will become the priestess of the archdemon of the undead and the guy a priest for the godess of war (Targunitoth and Rondra to those who are familiar with the game).
    Rock on everyone...
