    King-Kong

2005 will be the year of the monkey

For the technique, one brush, no previous sketch, 3-4 hours playing with layers.

I like the ends of years, when you have nothing to do at the office !

*thinks* Actually it is the year of the chicken, but for a painting like this I am sure we can do something.

    Nice job-

Does anyone else hear a rabid chipmunk upon seeing this?

the more and more I look at this the more I like it! Like Ivan dash smith said... Different approach that is just executed perfectly.... reminds me of Frazetta! Oh, for those of you who may be interested theres a DVD/ documentary on Frazetta.! I saw it on Netflix!

I really like this piece. It has a nice painted look. I am curious its hard ot tell, some of it looks like its done in painter and some of it looks like photoshop, which program did you use?

I like this a lot, but I was wondering when I noticed that Kongs face ressemple more human than monkey, if that was an intentional way of making it seem that the monkey king is semi-intelligent and therefor a much more frightning opponent in the game of survival (besides the fact that he could squash people with his foot).

the lighting is superb and really brings the peice to life, great work.

    Thx a lot guys !!!

Matt smith >> it's 100% photoshop, I never understood Painter and probably never will

Mind_vancacy >> That's exactly what I wanted ! For me King Kong is not a gorilla, but another unknown race.

    awsome

We act as though comfort and luxury were the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about.
