    Red face

fallen: you should try Painter soon! I have used PS but after customizing brushes in Painter it behave much better (hard brushes but with color mixing opposing to PS)

hideoshi: as I already said elsewhere (read CGTalk ) great designs and skill...

MarkMalone: so its fine that you dont take it as rude note from me - thx for that

rudolfen: I like the atmosphere and composition lot. just the metal rendering isnt compelling

    heres another Painter "Lava doodle"

    Cheers!

Havn't posted in a while so I'm just checkin in, though neither of these are really speedy. Matte painting for a 3d project I'm workin on. I'm still learning, and it's funny how little of the back ground is actually incorperated into the shot. The originals are bigger.

Hey fallendameage great stuff! Good to see you going into matte painting One bit of advice though... really make sure yer heirarchy of values is correct. Especially with mountains like that. between every plane of recession there is a lot of air, so the darkest tones of a distant mountain should NEVER be as dark as the one in front of it. and each mountain should have one overall average set of values...(or 2 if there is strong side lighting) too many variations in value and the structure falls apart in blotches and distance doesnt read. I Cant stress that enough.

Anyways, yer set to be truly awsome dude. keep at it.

Thanks Denntanos. I use a lot of custom brushes....very handy for hairs and textures and time saving too (forgive me for the bad english language)
