Okay, i am new here, but (as i say before), i watched this forum for a little time. And now, i must say, the Thunderdome is thebest place i can imagine Why? Because there is no better thing do eduacte... ecuacte with battle .. Fantastic thing. Ba. Enough smart talking. I propose a challenge. Of course, i know i will loose, but... who care about it?
Topic: Personification of Fate ('Fate' in human being...)
Media: All non-digital.
Time limit: We will see...
Oh, if you interested in. just send me an Private Message or write somfin in this topic. I wating... :> ...
Hey, I'm new here, too. I wasn't sure how I'd go about challenging someone, but now it seems like you've helped me there.
So I'll challenge you. What do you wanna do? Hopefully something in black and white, as I don't really have time for colors right now...
Okay, you know topic. Don't worry about color, you see, in this challenge we will use non-digital media so i think, i draw in B&W... What About Time limit? I think about 22 December (of course, if we do it faster, challenge end faster...) What do you think about it?
Im down for some of this. I dont know i i can sepen hrs and hrs on this but like 2-3 unless it gets under my skin then i might spend mutch more time.
*slaps you with a glove*
well like i said. 2 hrs about. I knew exactly my idea the moment i read the topic.
al so my scanner kills the stubtle greys. lost them all. oh well.
Of course you can be in Nice idea for a... erm ... 'Fate'
So, i throw my work...
Fate in one person...
I put a bit more time into it. I think its looking alot better.
Saise: nice. i like it. i cant read whats on his hand. What dose it say?
I replied to your private message. I think 23 December is fine, as it gives me time to finish up the stuff I promised the new Talislanta publishers.Originally Posted by SaiseI think about 22 December (of course, if we do it faster, challenge end faster...) What do you think about it?
Okay, so... we play in 3 peoples. TIme for 23 December... for now, works is only sketshes (BTW, this second sketch with deeper shades is great.)
Ehm, Time is over... but i see, you don't have time, so, i give you more time. For 1 january of 2005 This is my last word, last stand! So, go to work!
my only comment at this point waffle is maybe drop the letter box and the words too =P. just me maybe but i like it more when the decision of which object is "fate" is left up to the viewer(not saying the artist can't put an intended subject, just sayin it'd be cooler if it were more subtle)
Ugh. I totally forgot about it. So many weird things have been happening at my house the last week or two...Originally Posted by SaiseEhm, Time is over... but i see, you don't have time, so, i give you more time. For 1 january of 2005 This is my last word, last stand! So, go to work!
Thanks for the deadline extension, though. I'll get off my butt (and get the weird people out of my house) and see what I can come up with.
Fortunately, I only had to work a half-day today, and so I was able to finish this piece up. Between the uninvited Christmas guests and a new commission that just dropped into my lap, I really didn't get time to do this up until now.
Blah blah blah. Anyway, here she is:
Sorry it took so long. And thanks for the challenge!
So okay - Time is over - for now, it's time for little votig ;-) Hummies and other beings on CA, please vote now. Three artist to choice:
- Just write a nickname in the topic pu-lise . And for all - thx for a challenge.
13 days later, and no hits...we all lose equally.
I'd have to give it to 'ninja. He had a more complete and well thought out composition.
Saise's was just a little too stiff (but a neat idea) and Adam's was a cool concept, but I don't think it was brought off as well as it could have been (maybe a bit of relfected light off the face like the arm has on the dark side).
You know, I considered that, but decided not to in the end. I was going for more of a "Hel" look...but as soon as I did it this way, I was wishing I'd've put a little backlighting on the face. Sigh. Oh well.Originally Posted by dogfoodAdam's was a cool concept, but I don't think it was brought off as well as it could have been (maybe a bit of relfected light off the face like the arm has on the dark side).
