Really really cool work! Love the action in the Mina and Gilgamesh image! Great stuff, plenty of story in each picture makes me want to keep looking. No crits here, just kudos!

refreshing stuff man...graphic design influence mixed with graff style add some political themes along with social conformity and you get some really hot work. i think you could push it just a little more...your hinting at it right now but possibly show more of just how fucked up everything is in the world. the political and social stuff doesnt exactly slap me in the face...does that make sense? if i had alot of money id hire you man. good luck

p.s. alot of your stuff is just a little too flat for my taste...it works for some of your work but hurts others...i think thats the designer in you.

WOW, I really 'dig' your style. The CB agent one is such a good idea, tongue in cheek, i love it. I really like the animal heads with human masks, thats brilliant, although a touch more colour might improve it. Your figure work, is great, it captures expression well.

I really like this style, kinda combines strict design composition with fluid conceptual styles, and that lizard electrocuting that guy is just brilliant .

    great stuff thanks for sharing

no point for me to restate the obvious. Those that preceeded me have done so already.

There're a few oddities in the mirrors I noticed, maybe they're mistakes, maybe they're intentional, and maybe you can tell us what the intent was.

in the bar scene, the mirror only reflects the very top of the ape and the vulture, which suggests they're sitting very close to the wall that the mirror is on. But the tiles on the ground indicates they're good few 3 or 4 feet away from the wall, in which case [accounting for the slight downward tilt of the mirror also] there would be good deal more of them reflected in the mirror on the wall.

in the dressing room, the Loutrec prints in the reflection [if it is a reflection] are not mirror-imaged. Maybe its a two way mirror for someone spying on the performers, but then I wonder why the lights and makeup items are on this side even though the performers who might use them are on the opposite side.

can't wait till I get home so I can see your animations.

    Sweet

Re: CT dots, et al image -- I found this to be smooth and very creative with excellent humor behind the concept. Ya know Chris VanAllsburg? He did the Polar Express, Jumanji, etc. books and I just saw a lecture by him and he showed some illustrations that really mirror this concept of yours. His was all about how a coloring book full of characters and how they feel to be crayoned. Totally funny.
    Keep em coming!

thanks everyone for viewing these pics.

thanks also for the crits. Ill take them in by osmosis.

as for the bar with the mirrors, yes, yous be correct, the angles are quite distorted, but i felt it could flow as it is without taking too much away from the drawing itself. It's a visual quirk that I noticed but left as is. (Im fond of visual quirks) With these animal head drawings i wanted to make some strange mix of 2d and 3d space. Almost as if things look cut-out, but at the same time very full and round. The environment seems like it has depth, but at the same time can be as flat as a simple diagram. I still want to mess around with it some more.

hito: i think i will find you very useful in my future... when you mentioned the Lautrec prints in the background i smacked myself! That totally passed my senses, i worked on this drawing after workhours and missed this fact. Damned if i do it again. I will get around to fixing this silly mistake.

As i look around this forum, I see mostly realistically rendered drawings. Ill definitely take a bigger shot at using a fully rendered approach, practice different methods in CG, and have some meaty criticisms from you folks. This should help me out with some of my own ideas and stylistic hurdles.

    Thanks again.

    wooo

    these are all really nice.

i'm biased because they fit my taste [check my sketchbook]. love the subtle gradients you put all over the place. also, your stuff has a lot of cool viewpoints and visual tricks, mirrors, etc. are you familiar with bilal's stuff? if you're not, check him out.. french comic artist i think..? the concert poster rocks, too. are there prints of this one? i collect rad gig posters

    anyway, welcome
