    Night Visions

These are a series of abstract paintings ive started doing. These two are digital, but i have four more in charcoal to take pictures of so i can post.

Ill be doing these over time, posting them as they come. Ill keep putting them in this thread so theyre all in one place...

I dont know if these belong in this section or not, but they are finished.
Mods, move as you see fit....

These are my Night Visions. I hope you enjoy them.

It's funny how when you look at something abstract you want to make it into something, the first one is my favorite of the two. Looks like light shining in from above through a grate, has a middle eastern feel to it.

I'm generally not too big of an abstract art fan but I like these, the first one appears strangely familiar to me.

I do not have alot of knowledge about abstract art as in the big names in that field. But some things you might want to think about is creating more depth within these images. Thinak about forground midground and backfround. Try to make the shapes move inbewteeen space rather just sit on one plane. I tend to think that doing abstract art on the computer is harder becuase its not as easy to put emotion into digital strokes. As for your pieces though, the first one seems to be the better one of the two. It has more of a sense of forground and background, interesting design too. But keep trying and experimenting, especially if you are using photoshop, scan some textures and create some brushes and you will definately get some real creative abstracct art. Srorry if my tpying is a bit off, i just got back from a bar...

    great ones layil !
but i agree with matt, more depth, play more with the dimensions, in out, sideways... maybe if it isnt the purpose to play with the depths in the picture, but you can always do alittle to give it some punch...

    cheers, and do more !
